In short: a nice day out
In full: route a bit fiddly in places (first 2km) and with with a couple of hills to keep you honest; may have been about 100m short. Pretty well organized (although start could have been better controlled - I went to the front) with the marshalls controlling some very inconsiderate motorists well. Nice feel to the event though and I'd do it again.

In short: good race with definite PB potential
In full: well organized and a nice distance; yes the start was delayed but it wasn't a big issue, neither are the biz park loops (over half of the race is out in the country!). Seemed a good turnout - I hope it filled Maidenhead AC's coffers as they deserve it. Thanks.

In short: if all mass participation events are as good as this one then I'm going to enter more
In full: really well organized, nice course and great support; quite congested at the start but what do you expect. 2 ipod wearers ate tarmac right in front of me after about 1 mile - can't believe that people would risk it in this kind of field. Well done Reading.

In short: super organization, great support, & an interesting route
In full: a really nice race: good feeling in the park prior to the start, good marshalling, roads closed (thanks!), great support (particularly miles 1- 6), good medal, great weather, parking / toilets plentiful, orderly start. Thanks also to the bloke who offered me his pint of cider around 11 miles - I could have used it!! Thanks F&C AC.

In short: well organized and friendly 10 km event
In full: thanks to 26.2 RRC for excellent organization and marshalling There were plenty of toilets & parking, the start / finish worked well and the facilities were slick. The route is interesting / rural up to 7 km but after that it's pretty horrible running on pavements through housing estates / along main roads so echo comments from other runners that it wasn't very inspiring.

In short: Don't be put off by the climb - the way down is worth it
In full: Yep, the 1st 3.5 miles are up hill but are followed by a great cruise downhill for the next 3.5; dig in on the way up and enjoy the rest of an altogether enjoyable race. Drivers were largely very considerate on the long A road sections. Pity some of those leaving didn't treat those still coming up the Loseley Park driveway with quite such respect. As pointed out by many before me, a re-jigged finish would solve this. Thank you GGAC.

In short: flat 10km with serious PB potential
In full: I thought that the organizers did a decent job with this many people. I'll admit that I made it to the front for the start as I wanted to run a reasonable time (for me) so I avoided any jostling but still had to overtake many people in the 1st km. I got the time I wanted but my Garmin came in at 9.7km. If this is right I'd be disappointed as this isn't a hard route to measure. Overall, these races at Dorney are a good speed trial and I'd recommend from this perspective.

In short: nice race, tough hill, naff medal
In full: thanks to the organisers - this was an enjoyable and well run race. The hill hurt me: I was OK on the up, it was the down that bought on the cramp. Parking was fine and entry / exit worked well. The start & finish were a bit chaotic. I ended up stepping in a cow pat in the first 100m. Apologies to the ladies who wanted to give me a medal at the end but I REALLY needed a drink! As for that medal: naff - not even a mention of the year! No other goodies. I'd much prefer a T-shirt, the medal is going in the bin. See you next year at which time I'll know about the hill, how to handle it and then will then lap up the last 2 smooth downhill miles in to the town.

In short: Great fun; great organization; challenging course
In full: Challenging course due mix of terrain & hills. Don't expect a PB as it's hard to get going downhill when it's this tough going underfoot (& when there is a tractor / hedge cutter in the way half way round!). Great organization, very impressed with how the runners / stewards policed the start. Thanks Newbury AC - see you next year.
