In short: Overpriced and not particularly well-organised.
In full: I wish I could be more positive about this race, since it's very local to me, but everything about it from the number of marshals and the width of the finishing funnels to the contents of the goody-bags seemed to have been skimped on - apart from the 5k course! Those of us entering children would have appreciated knowing that it was actually nearly 6k!
Very nice medals, though :o)

In short: Every runner should do this race at least once.
In full: A well-organised race in a lovely setting with just the right number of participants. Unremittingly undulating with a satisfying downhill finish. I was running outside my comfort zone on a hot day in the pursuit of a PB and the official pictures are a reminder of just how hard I found it! The Runners World marquee is the icing on the cake and I hope it remains a fixture.

In short: The hardest half I've ever done - and the one I've enjoyed most!
