2005 Barnsley 10K
 | | Overall score | | 80% | | Would you do it again? | | Yes | | | | Details: |
In short: Thanks for the constructive feedback, folks In full: We feel it went better than last year but still need to iron out providing a clear starting noise (easily sorted) and a better finish area (less easy but we have some ideas).
Re. the comments of Wayne Heppenstall which were rather negative, we can't find his name on the race results anywhere. If he has been missed off we're sorry and would like him to get in touch so we can amend the situation.
Otherwise should we assume he did not run the race at all, or ran it under a different name? Date of review: November 26, 2005

In short: The top half marathon in England In full: 4th time running this (and 3rd finish)! Each year I enjoy it more. It has everything I want in a race - brilliant organisation, fast course and quick results. If it lacks fripperies like showers and lots of toilets then so be it. Those things matter little. Yes you have to get your entry in early but if you want to do it badly enough you'll get yourself organised. I can't fault this race at all. Brilliant. Date of review: January 28, 2005

In short: Still one of the top races in the North of England. In full: I thought the start was better this year - not as cramped up and easier to get away. Excellent organisation from my point of view - to put on such a large event in a major city centre is no mean feat. Well done. Date of review: November 28, 2004

In short: A friendly local 10k organised by runners for runners. In full: Over 30 marshalls on the course. People had been advised that parking at the leisure centre would be limited and to use the numerous side streets.
We value constructive comments so we can try and make the race a better experience next year.
Thanks to people who have made them. Date of review: November 14, 2004
