In short: very nice evening out in delamere
In full: Like most of my races at the moment, as i'm still a beginner you never know what to expect. I can say though that this was a very friendly race and was ideal for competitive runners and beginners alike. A very nice medal awaited us as did scones, biscuits and drinks. The whole event was very well organised with very helpful and pleasant people, i will be back in august.

In short: beautiful 1st trail race
In full: excellent 1st ever trail race, crash on the m56 meant we started 5 mins late but got straight into the action. Well marshalled course with enough drinks stations. A few hills, mainly the first one at the start but plenty of downhills. A lot of places were you have to be patient in overtaking but i was never going for a PB anyway. Ended up getting around in about 49 mins, my previous best was 47 mins so you can see it's not over difficult, just slightly testing. Excellent medal at the end and if i have only one little moan it was that i couldn't find anywhere open for the refreshments we were promised, the only cafe i saw was closed, but nonetheless, this was a terrific event, well done everyone

In short: medal,supper,beautiful location-£3.50!
In full: excellent little race, only done 2 races before this, the mersey tunnel 10k and the liverpool half marathon, so when i saw this little race for £3.50 with a medal and supper thrown in, it sounded too good to be true. How wrong i was. Only 78 runners on a beautiful evening turned this race into a little gem. Plenty of little inclines for about 3 miles then a little flat and a big drop for the ending, certainly tested my legs but can't complain as it was fastest ever run, so i'm happy about that. After the race it was back to the village hall for the supper that was a cuppa, sandwiches, crisps, sausage roll and a scone, what more can you want for £3.50? I'll be back again next year and i hope it attracts many more.

In short: a very differnet 10k
In full: very hot day, the hill isn't as bad as you think. I personally thought the hill going down into the tunnel was longer than the hill out! v good organisation and a very unique race, well done to everyone
