In short: Deserves every plaudit and accolade despite this one off bus issue
In full: The bus problem actually worked in our favour as an earlier start would have led to different kit selection which would then have to have been carried or discarde. Every cloud.. Tougher than expected. Glorious scenery for most of the course if you took the time to gaze left or right, up or down. Great hydration and water very soon after sports drinks so all were catered for. Fantastic support throughout when in any village or hamlet, great turnout from Macmillan. Wonderful atmosphere in the stadium. Good t-shirt, cracking medal. Didn't feel like the soup and meal which I know others appreciated, good touch tho'. Might summon up the energy to do again

In short: Another stunning family fun day at one of the biggest and best 10k's in the UK and good weather a bonus
In full: Well done Swansea yet again. One of the fastest races in the UK, one of the biggest fields and welcoming to all ages, levels and abilities. Part of a family of races, culminating in the 10k this was remarkably well organised.Fantastic course, stunning views, especially on the way back, and if you've done the training, almost guaranteed a pb. Two undulates not worth talking about, the odd gentle down slope, otherwise flat as flat can be. Good commentary and encouragement en route. Finish funnel almost too much...water, banana, re-usable goody/shopping bag, with water bottle, voucher the add ons of shampoo/conditioner and fruit loaf, medal and t-shirt for the first 3,000 applicants (This is a good idea as 3,5000 entered and circa 2,900 turned up so in reality there were enough for all and this must have saved a bit of cash on wasted t-shirts etc.) Very good value for money. Thanks again. Will be back.

In short: Great way to spend a Saturday night
In full: . Good start, great course, plenty of cheerful, friendly marshalls. Great run to test speed, hill climbing, balance and sense of humour. There was enough water, but wasn't clear or that well organised. Good commentary at the end. Ran out of mugs, which disappointed as they were very nice. Alternative 250ml water bottle no consolation as could have been from anywhere.

In short: For a race in its second year it has lots of potential. Friendly, well marshalled/watered/organised
In full: Fairly well organised race, very flat with the odd speed ramp. The loops were not as bad as anticipated. It was well supported despite the weather at the start. The only gripes are a)coming off the road in the last kilometre don such a narrow track cost stronger finishers, unless you were ruthless as there was a long stretch with nowhere to pass. This was about the tightest part of the course. b) The goody bag and water bottle were useful, but I was looking for the advertised mug. Loved the support at the end and the array of munchies and drinks available. I'll probably be back as I know I can improve on my time but not a pb course methinks

In short: Good weather, well organised, fast, undulating course and nice memento.
In full: Usual good organisation. Water more than adequate. Course is undulating, not pancake flat...that would be Swansea that's flat. It is a fast course and could offer potential for a pb for some. Glad the organisers have binned the repetitive sponsored t-shirt. Nce paperweight/ornament a bit different and good memento. Thank you. Friendly marshalls, good commentary at the end and lots ofr the family to do round other races, samba band/dancers and plentiful food and drink available to stop them starving. Well doen again guys. Now about next year's memento, hexagon, spher?

In short: It's a tester, a stunning location, well organised, friendly, good value for money and not for the faint hearted
In full: Third running and it was better weather than previous years which meant more runners and I think when word gets out how good this race is it may be a victim of its own success. £10 on the day. Great pre-amble, good humour, good course description, well marshalled, quirkily signed (e.g services 9km, austin ahead (for the ford), well they amused me and some others) and run across/up/down one of the most picturesque yet challenging courses I've ever been to. Water, Mars Bar, banana, choice of home-made cakes, hot and cold drinks, t-shirt all part of the deal. Well organised, friendly, welcoming, stunning race. Hits my top 10 ever.

In short: Curate's egg, good in parts
In full: Ran this as a training run with a friend who wanted a 2hr half. 2nd water station ran out of cups and runners were sharing/drinking from the same 2ltre PET bottles, water station 3 at 9 miles had...no water then some unexpected water stations with the one before mile 12 manned by 2 people doing a sterling job, plentiful supply and good clearance. Great effort by them. Route fantastic in parts but too many bits with heavy traffic and a number of ambivalent marshalls, one of whom didn't indicate direction until 3rd time of asking! Course was undulationg rather than hilly, but not pb material. Good effort but don't think I'll rush back.

In short: Well organised, fast but slightly boring course
In full: Well marshalled, well controlled water stations. Feedback from last year clearly acted upon and fairly smooth organisation all round. Plenty of friendly marshalls, reasonable support in patches. Bit short on the loo front. I shall be picky and suggest I would like my medalengraved with the year and not hung on a ribbon advertising 2.09's race series but that's a personal preference I know. I may come back and try for a pb here as there is promise
