In short: A well organised Road Race which is "Off Road"
In full: This was a brand new event held on a newly opened Cycle track. There was only about 70 runners, which was a shame but was held on a mid-week evening and not well advertised. The course had a couple of slopes but has the potential to be fairly fast and no traffic to worry about.
If it was better adverised and held on a weekend this has the potential to be a very good event.
Overall it was well organised and plenty of support from the marshalls and St John personel

In short: A very nice and challenging event
In full: The run was part of a day long Jubilee celebration and the whole town was out to watch the events wich made it a bit special. The route had a nice mix of terraine and one killer hill at 5-6K. The route was also well marshalled. There was plenty of support along the route to and a thank you to the children at the top of the hill handing out jelly babies!!

A T shirt was given to all finishers but in light of the event a momento/medal may have been more appropriate.

In summary a very nice day and I hope they run the event next year!

In short: Mud Mud glorious Mud!!!
In full: The foul weather turned most of the course into a mud bath. The course itself has some tasty hills and some bottlenecks.

Being kept waiting an extra 15 mins for the start didnt help nor the car park fiasco! Other than that the organisers did pretty well and so did the poor marshalls stuck out on a wet muddy course.

In short: You pay for what you get
In full: This is a cheap enough race at £10 and you get a medal and a t shirt, plus a goodie bag! The course is flat and repetative and could do with chip timing. I lapped one person twice and they finnished 10 meters behind me!! It was very cold at the staet and being held waiting was not helpful plus no water at the finish.
