In short: Hot Hot Hot Hot Hot In full: One very hot race with little shade to hide from the sun! Apart from that this was a great race - only gripe was the crush as we went through some gates 100m or so from the start as that delayed everyone by a few seconds.
The locals were really encouraging and it was a great touch to see some out with water sprays to cool the runners down! Much appreciated.

In short: Nice uphill bit in the middle to test the legs before some downhill fun In full: First timer at this race and got a PB so I'm very pleased with that. Very good organisation with lots of marshalls considering the number of roads and junctions.
Well done to Bearbrook for getting the results out so quickly without chip timing. However, from a personal point of view it would be nice to have both gun and chip times next year - it took me 19 seconds to get to the start line this year! Date of review: August 9, 2010

In short: Great race with beautiful scenery. In full: This was my first run of the 7K course and it’s an incredibly beautiful route with lovely scenery – and some challenging and rewarding (once done) hills that give a great test of a runner’s stamina. The pre-race warm up was great fun and all the marshals were friendly and encouraging, though I have to admit that I didn’t feel I was “looking good and running strongly” as one marshall cheered at the 6km marker. The sentiments were definitely appreciated though! It was a great touch to the event to have post-race massages available and also to have the results up for all to see within minutes of the race being completed. Great run, great fun and I look forward to entering next year. You also get free entry into Blenheim Palace which makes the whole day great value! Date of review: May 10, 2010

In short: Great race in scenic Oxfordshire with some challenging hills two thirds of the way into the race. In full: Great value for money and great goody bag! Very welcoming and there is a well organised May Fair running alongside the race which adds to the atmosphere. Date of review: May 5, 2010
