In short: one for the calender In full: a great day out, def a pb course, i was about 6 mins slower than my pb but only cause of ongoing injury. will def be back next year. great medal, no t-shirt or goodybag but a good deal considering the small entrance fee, who wants a load of crud at the finish anywayz? scenery was good most of the route Date of review: August 9, 2011

In short: good for a p.b. 2011 race In full: just over 200 feet of climb and a flat first few miles knocked 7 mins off my previous pb time. why this race only gets about 200 runners i dunno, out of the half marathons i have done so far this was my fav. the croud support could have been better but i wasn't bothered. really good all round race with t-shirt and medal to finish. if i could only do 1 next year, it'll be this 1 for sure. In short: my home race In full: cumbrian run is a good half, about 400 feet of climb overall so average undulating half. most of climb is within the first 3.5 miles then mostly flat from there on in - except 1 small hill at around 11.5 miles. good t-shirt and medal to finish, good crowd support. start slightly congested - but after 400 yards course opens up so its easy to overtake if u need 2. worth the congested start to run through the castle gates. entries now open for 2011, i'm in, cant wait for 2nd october 2011 Date of review: July 2, 2011

In short: rip off- 2011 run In full: the race itself was good however have never crossed a line before and given so little. an apple and a bottle of water, if u wanted a place mat with a picture of the route on it- it'll cost u an extra 3quid. really bad value, then an extra 2 quid to park on the rugby pitch. lol, could be a really good 1 for the calender but sadly its really let down by organisers being so dam tight.
