In short: Fast flat race with excellent potential for PB
In full: Being the first staging of the race this was very well organised with plenty of marshals along the route and in the car-park, lots of support in the village of Draycott and a good decision to close the road to traffic. If there is one area for improvement I would suggest some temporary portakabin toilets as the queue in the 'Race Village' with just 15-20 minutes to go was very long for both mens and womens. Overall though this was a great race. Well done to all involved!

In short: A good effort for the 1st year of the race - But need km distance markers & water station
In full: Enjoyable race but I think I was lucky in choosing to carry a water bottle whilst running because many people felt slightly aggrieved that there was no water station. I'm sure the organisers will take note for next year.

In short: Well organised and flat 10k route with a strong field of runners
In full: This was my 6th 10k run this summer and the flat and comfortable route allowed me a new PB. It is very well organised, with supportive marshalling, allows good use of the Xcel leisure centre before and after the race, prints the race results pretty much as soon as you cross the finish line and offers a great medal - which for a further £4 I got engraved. An excellent race and I'll be back again.

In short: A challenging and well organised race for a great cause
In full: This is a 2 lap course and starts off with a fairly tough uphill climb for the first 1k or so (and therefore you do it again between 5k and 6k) That aside it is a flat and comfortable course with beautiful surrounds, lots of support and good marshalling. This is a well organised and well established race and I'll be back again.

In short: A very wet but thoroughly enjoyable race!
In full: Great organisation and a good challenging race with a good mixture of flat and hilly areas. The Hobs Hole Lane hill at the end is not as bad as it seems if you pace yourself carefully earlier in the race. Well done to all of the organisers, race stewards and spectators who braved the rain and coldness to support the runners on.

In short: Excellent challenge for beginners
In full: This was only my 2nd ever 10k race and its flat terrain allowed me a PB time. It was well organised and much of the route is set in the beautiful Elvaston Park and surrounds. I'm looking forward to next year's event already.

In short: An excellent race for a first-time 10k race participant like me
In full: This was the first 10k race that I've run since I started training a few weeks back so I don't have any others to compare with. However I found this a great 1st race. Lovely scenary, a flat and comfortable route and well organised. I was chuffed with my time of 50 mins 3 seconds and would definitely run this race again. Hopefully next time it will attract more runners.
