In short: Challenging, but really well organised
In full: The course is a hilly out and back one, yet seems to go up more than it comes down! This was the first running of the event and the organisers deserve lots of praise for putting on a relly well-organised event. Apart from a bottle neck at the finish everything went smoothly, there was a lot of local support, friendly marshalls, 2 water stations and great facilities at the school. Well done to all concerned.

In short: It was wet, windy and muddy. Terrific little race.
In full: This is a great small event at the beginning of the year, flat course, well organised and the weather didn't manage to put off those that wanted to get out and run. Well done Springburn Harriers on putting this event on and the marshalls for being out there in the rain.
the results were emailed out the same evening. Nice touch!

In short: A superb example of how to organise a big race efficiently. The people of Glasgow did themselves proud yet again with excellent support for the weary & hot runners
In full: If I could only do one race a year it would be this one, I've done the last 5 with varying degrees of success.

This is the only race I know where the WRVS provide tea & coffee at the end, superb even on such a hot day.

I do wish they would go back to the Saltmarket start, I don't see what the excitement of running over the Kingston Bridge is, especially as it is a big bottleneck.

This is not the cheapest 1/2 you can do but it is by far one of the very best.

In short: Great if you like bumping shoulders with your fellow runners. Everyone should do it once, though once is probably enough for me.
