In short: Longer than a 10K and shorter than a half marathon :-) !!
In full: Having recently joined a running club I got talked into this and was expecting to be at the back, but I put in a respectable time.

Organisation of the race it self was good, but the finish was a bit hit & miss. Tables with water on one side, tables with bananas in another place, then the long queue INSIDE on in a cramped room full of sweaty runners to collect a non-existant t-shirt (they'd all gone by the time I'd queued for 10 minutes).

No goody bag, no medal, no certificate. Next time, the finish need synching, finish - water - snack - t-shirt - out. Sounds simple eh?

In short: City & industrial areas - not boring like some say!
In full: I've read lots slagging Sheffield off - not picturesque - of course its not it's in the city and surrounding industrial areas!

That said, its a great course. Mildly challenging undulations upto 8 miles, but down hill from there on. Got a PB so it can't be all that bad.

Organisation was good, with only a few suggestions for improvement - BOTTLED WATER PLEASE! We'll pay another 50p, just give us bottled water - or one of the larger sponsor could easily stump up the cash.

The finish was a bit crowded - should have had the medals & cereal bars in goodie bags ready as handing them out one by one slowed things down.

All in all, I thoroughly enjoyed the day and I will definately be coming back next year!

In short: Great day, well organised, beautiful countryside
In full: This was my first time at Belvoir and wasn't dissapointed by the event, despite the wheels falling off my own run at 7 miles.

The organisation was excellent, wonderful countryside, and definately flat - which was the problem for me, not living in an overly flat area.

Definately run next year.

In short: A great race, year in year out.
In full: Only 5 miles but very well attended and very well organised. I didn't go out to break records (had over 6 months without running very far), so started from the back, but came within 20 secs of PB - so can't be bad!

In short: My first marathon, what a way to break in!
In full: The 2006 FLM was my first marathon, and was meant to be my last as I never thought I could do another. But now i'm looking for the next!

The organisation of this event was first class and the support received from the crowds was superb. People shouting you name and egging you on, simply superb. It was tough, and I resorted to walk/jogging after 20 miles and only once did I consider pulling out but I'm so glad I stuck with it. Only those who finish can explain the emotions that overwhelm you when you turn the last corner with 200m to go. I turned to the grandstand and got a rousing cheer when I shouted "COME ON!!!" Simply amazing.
And the first this to come out of the goody bag was the Wagon Wheel - hhmmmm delicious!!

In short: Will run this next year, if only to beat my terrible time.
In full: Secure baggage area would have been nice, I was told to leave at own risk - so I didn't.
No atmosphere through the park, but then again the weather played a part in that.
