In short: Welcome to Trail Running!
In full: After seeing the nice quaint sideshow beforehand i thought i should be able to do that the hills don't look too bad, boy was i in for a rude awakening! After 5min reality hit the first hill which went on and on and on, some of the hills were just about unrunnable especially the one after about 10k, surely that was about 15 flights of stairs rolled into one, i walked up and my legs were still like lead balloons, all in all though the down bits made up for it although you took your life in your hands a bit-good job it was'nt wet mind. All in all in reflection it was a great day which was well organised with just enough competitors not to make it overcrowded and the beer tent and barbecue at the end were excellant especially the veggie chilli-more please!

In short: Heavy on the grass
In full: Decent enough run although somewhat predictable as you could see most of the course and how far you had to go. Recent damp weather made grass quite heavy in parts, although day was pleasant enough weatherwise

In short: Difficult 1st 5mile but good 2nd 5
In full: Hill after a mile and constant headwind made the 1st 5 quite a struggle but the 2nd 5 was much faster and plenty of downhill/flat stretches. 1st 10mile and disappointed not to crack 1.20

In short: Poor organisation and lack of information
In full: Frankly for such a big event (1000+ runners) and the fact that a lot of roads were coned off the lack of marshalls etc at the beginning and at the end with information was poor, very little signposts on the way in, took ages to find registration where were the signs? The race itself was fine, however the finish was sloppy again no information t shirt queue was 150mt away, no one was telling anyone this, and then after queueing for my t shirt for some 15min i get told that as i entered on day t shirt would be posted, why werent we told this when we registered or at least when we finished. Disappointing at start and finish, middle bit (run ) was okay. Next year? probably not

In short: Hot weather-again!
In full: Never being one to complain but it would be nice to run on a damp cold overcast day for a change, yes i know in the winter i will say the opposite, but really the heat was just too much although again better to spectate than race
