In short: Well organised, great weather for running and a PB! In full: Really enjoyed this one, beat my PB by over 3 mins and despite a few climbs, from about Mile 8 it was mainly downhill! Plenty of water stations and the atmosphere at half way was superb! Bit confused after the race on how to get off the track and out as I couldn't find any marshalls at the end.
That aside though, it was all good! Date of review: April 27, 2008
In short: As always, a very well organised race. In full: Excellent organisation and a great mix of runners! Missed out on a PB by 18 secs this year which I am putting down to the wind although in reality it was probably my lack of fitness! Not as many spectators this year which was to be expected as it was very cold for them. Looking forward to next year and hopefully a little less windy! Date of review: February 4, 2008
In short: Extremely well organised rice ideal for a beginner In full: Missed out on a PB but the organisation was excellent but then you would expect it to be for £22.00. Ideal for all runners due to the volume of people but thought there might be a few more spectators. Date of review: September 10, 2007
In short: Very challenging race but extremely enjoyable In full: Really good race but very challenging! You haven't got a prayer of getting a PB on this course but it was still great muddy fun! Oh and beautiful scenery by the way. Date of review: September 3, 2007
In short: Well organised and ejoyable race...despite the heat! In full: Don't know what nimble turkney is talking about in their review of the race! It was well organised, the start was not delayed and the marshalls were very encouraging. My watch was only out by a few seconds to the main timer so I don't know what they are whining about! Anyway, didn't break my PB but I went off too quick and then the heat got to me. I'll be back next year though! Date of review: June 5, 2007
