In short: friendly and challenging

In short: Nice event but start needs attention
In full: Need to sort the start out. No marshalling of faster or slower runners made the start a free for all. Some KM markers seemed very short and some very long. Course was nice but not as flat as I had imagined. Nice event.

In short: supperb
In full: For some reason I view this an an event rather than just a race. There is a lovely feel about it. The course is very scenic especially on a bright summers evening. Organisation was first rate, marshalls and facilities perfect. Very nice atmosphere hanging around afterwards for a chat, pint or some food. Loved it. Goblet nice too

In short: Great race
In full: Those big races with the big sponsers should look at races like this. With the exception of not hearing the start this race was perfect - can't fault it. Nice mug at the end and £6 is excellent value for money as well. Many thanks to all the marshalls who braved the elements and still kept smiling. I got a PB too. well chuffed

In short: Perfect race
In full: I can't think of a thing wrong with this race. The organisation and marshalling were perfect. Great value with goodybag (inc food!) and sweatshirt. One of the best races on the calender. The hills are not for the faint hearted though.

In short: Well organised in nice countryside
In full: Hard course. Well marshalled and organised. Good parking and facilities. Not sure of the point of the chip unless theres a mat at the start though. Also lack of marshals at the end except for those taking results so no one to ask directions back to the centre or get the water butts refilled. Could not see the finish until I was on top of it. Would have been good for some 400m, 100m markers at the finish. Minor things really as this was a very good race.

In short: Faultless
In full: I really enjoyed this. Organisation and marshalling was exemplary. Great challenging course with some nasty hills to boot. Can't fault it.

In short: Good challenge
In full: First 5k so difficult to compare. I've no complaints anyway. Not too crowded, undulating but nothing you couldn't cope with,
well organised and marshalled.

In short: Good fast prep for london
In full: Organisation was great and very well marshalled. Quite a fast race and felt like it was mostly club runners. However, not as flat as I expected. Whilst no hills to speak of there seemed a lot of long inclines (my knees let me know). Smashed my PB which was nice. Good prep for london.

In short: Everything done right
In full: Big pat on the back to Ivanhoe runners, all the marshals and the army cadets for brilliant organisation. Very hard hills. Made me wonder what you need to get it classified as hilly. Plenty of water stations helped a lot. Best goody bag ever - at last something runners actually want and need - FOOD.
