In short: An OK race but not up there with the top tier In full: Nothing wrong with this race but it's not really special, it's too twisty to be a real PB course, doesn't have great facilities and it's a three lap race. Don't think I would do it again unless it was HRRL or if glorious sunshine was predicted and a picnic taken for afterwards Date of review: May 21, 2009
In short: A gem of a race In full: Another great Combe Gibbet Race. This is now the definitive off road race Point to point, stunning scenery, excellent organisation, some tough climbs, downhill finish, good facilities, home made cakes, I could go on but you get the picture - you don't? then join me in 2010.
In short: Ryde 10 - Nice Hilly Course In full: This review is on Ryde 10, don't know why it defaults to IOW Marathon. Anyway usually love this course but given that I was under the weather and that the weather was awful meat I had a dreadful day. Ho hum. PS Next year make sure we go up the right hill, the extra climb was not appreciated. Date of review: February 3, 2009
In short: Good way to start the New Year In full: This was my first Race Over the Glens and I enjoyed it, though as I was warned several times about the climbs I took the first few miles a little too easy, even though it is a long way from the valley to the top of the climb. Hope to be back next year. Date of review: January 6, 2009
In short: Class PB Course In full: Good PB Course especially as the wind held off but Mountbatten Centre was chaos. Looking forward to next year but move to Sept better not clash with Overton 5. Date of review: December 8, 2008
