In short: Worth the trip - but some improvements needed.
In full: An enjoyable city half with some "scenic" running. I liked receiving the text message with time and position so soon after finishing - nice touch. Comments: improve clarity of pre-race announcements - equipment rather than the announcer. "Grasscrete" unpleasant. Why no clock at start/finish? and "half way" marker would have been nice - although I did see all the mile markers. Plenty of marshals on side roads etc. but medical cover seemed a bit sparse especially the last 5 miles. Chip removal - inside finish area, PLEASE - not after "exit" - I felt sorry for the girl collecting the chips surrounded by all those people. Goody bag - no towel in mine - too much of a crush to go back for one. Organisers please try and persuade NCP (Dumfries car park) to reduce cost of parking for that day £10.50 for less than 4 hours on a Sunday is scandalous - but typical NCP! Moans over - enjoyed the race and would return. Thank you organizers and marshals.

In short: Good event.
In full: Best organised Bristol half over the last 6 years I have run this. Well marshalled and plenty of water and energy drinks. One niggle - getting back to College Green as mentioned by others. One query - announcer at start mentioned 16,000 entrants - less than 10,000 finishers on web site. Good large, city half marathon and one I will return to. Thank you to all marshalls and volunteers.

In short: Well organised, shady, traffic free, mildly challenging
In full: The only two lap course I like! Very well organised and marshalled by a local running club. Traffic free and mostly shaded (should the sun shine!). Hills are not bad and there seems more down hill bits than up hill bits. 20 min utes walk to/from car park provides good warm up and warm down. Thank you - I'll be back.

In short: Excellent, traffic free 10 miler
In full: Definitely PB potential but dependent on weather. Not too hot this year. Traffic free, tarmac and trails through the New Forest on a warm summer's morning - great! Easy parking. Very encouraging marshalls, very good value. Will return.

In short: Well organised and very scenic.
In full: Like everyone else - glad to get round in one piece in the heat. Second Personal worst! Undulating and scenic and on a cooler day one would enjoy the views. Well organised - with two comment: water stations well manned but felt first should have been 3miles rather than 4+, and perhaps a (better) contingency plan for expected casualties on a hot day - which had been forecast for a week. Thank you to all marshalls and helpers.

In short: Very well organised, great race - but that hill!
In full: A very well organised 10k in a beautiful city - some small hills and a big one half way.

In short: Well organised friendly but "unscenic"!
In full: Well organised, easy parking. Not the most scenic race, undulating with a steady climb in 7th mile. Friendly marshalls despite the rain after 90 mins. Thank you to all marshalls and organisers - will be back.

In short: Scenic "local" race
In full: A few steep undulations (up and down) rather than hills. Quite scenic and good weather made the distance pass - except at start and finish and the water stations no spectators on course. Last pre London race for me. Wet weather leading up to race day meant start on playing field a bit "squidgy" but a well organised local race organised. Thank you organisers, marshalls and helpers.

In short: Nice race - poor organisation not all down to the weather
In full: The weather didn't help but delay was inexcusable - 27 years and the incorrect first aid tent!!!! Pens at start were well marshalled compared with some halfs. I liked the course (despite being two laps) and well supported. Moans: why isn't t-shirt a "techy"? Finish area too congested - I missed
drinks completely and didn't bother with space blanket. Race Director - get on top of your contractors; more buses for Lansdowne P & R; check Health and Safety and duty of care issues - and check weather forecast - heavy rain for the weekend was forecast at the beginning of the week. End of rant. A big thank you to all marshalls, police etc - who also had to stand around for an extra hour.

In short: Good half marathon - scenic and reasonably flat with a few inclines overr the motorways.
In full: Weather excellent (for a change!). Well organised although start is congested. Well marshalled around course. Only one gripe: while the gun to chip timing is no doubt useful for the organisers; it is fairly irrelevant for the majority of runners - ChampionChip is far better: is it that more expensive or difficult to obtain? Otherwise excellent, enjoyable event and highly recommended.
