In short: PB Anyone..... In full: Conditions were perfect making my favourite 10K even more special. I was really up the for this race, and the course and organisation did not dissapoint. I ran my fastest time for approx. 10 years.
My only minor grumble I did nearly trip over the traffic cones at the start, due to not seeing them until the last moment because of the amount of runners.
The course itself was mainly urban with approx. 1 mile along the sea front.
Well done SGRAC excellent race. Date of review: January 14, 2007
In short: Fast and flat. A course for PB's In full: Although the course is on the outskirts of Portsmouth this is quite a scenic run with views across Hilsea foreshaw and a pleasant section through the IBM complex which takes you round the lake. The course can be a bit narrow in places with a few tight turns. About one mile of the course is run on a pavement next to a busy road, never felt threatened by the traffic though. If you are looking for a fast 5 mile PB put this in your diary for 2007. Date of review: December 3, 2006
In short: Flat & fast PB course In full: Although the majority of the course is run around the outskirts of the town and housing estates, their are some nice views across Stokes Bay.
The course is well marshalled and you never feel threatened running along the main road. Running through the housing estates is also quiet and fairly traffic free. Views include Stokes Bay, Gosport Marina and Spinnaker Tower. Date of review: November 20, 2006
