In short: Great Race, great organisation
In full: I did this race last year on its first year and it was great then. It appeared to run like clockwork. The marshalls were great despite having to stand around in the freezing cold and odd snow shower. It is a challenging route but a great one, makes you feel like you have actually achieved something when you finish.

In short: PB Potential, well organised. Very flat
In full: Great well organised event as usual. Well signposted to get there and HQ. One of the smoothest run races I have ever been to. Only downside is the route it is just a bit too flat for me. Great towel as a momento.

In short: Tough mixed terrain race.
In full: This was a lot tougher than I had expected, prob due to xmas excess, but was very hilly but it could have been worse if the weather had been wet. Marshalls were great and the scenery fantastic. Advertised on runnersworld as t shirt and goody bag, but there was no goody bag but the t shirt was nice.

In short: Great Scenery, great organisation, great goody bag
In full: Definately one of the best organised events, and the scenery is fantastic. The route is challenging but you don't feel like you are gonna die any minute. I reakon a great beginners route and although lots of club runners you don't feel intimidated by them. If the weather had stayed dry it would have been perfect. Only gripe was that I only took an hour but there was only large t-shirts left when I picked up my goody bag. Shame.

In short: Hilly, hilly hilly
In full: Start of the race and registration not easy to find. Starts in a field on the side of a cliff, straight up a steep hill, followed by a flat and then another steep hill and then another steep hill before a small downhill and then another steep hill. Then you do it all again. Fantastic scenery at the top once you have caught your breath. Definately not one for beginners or a PB.

In short: Challenging race, great atmosphere.
In full: This was my second year at this one, and thank goodness it was dryer this year. The new start and finish was much better than last year. The course was challenging but I felt was not a killer. The atmosphere was great, as was the marshalling. Actually I cant find anything negative to say about this race. The local with the hosepipe shower for us was a welcoming sight. Well doen Wellington. See you next year.

In short: Challenging, but do-able
In full: This was the first off road I have done in about 8 years, so was a bi worried. 2 challenging hills up although the downhills were just as challenging for me. Great fun though. The weather hadn't been too bad so it was muddy but not too bad. Should imagine you could loose your trainers if the weather had been worse. The flat bits were lovely. I loved going off at the start to the sound of a what I think was a hunting horn.

In short: Fantastic race, great organisation, One for the calender.
In full: The organisation was great from the moment you arrived. You knew where the start and finish was(not always obvious at other events) Fantastic Marshalls, didn't even have to queue for the loos. Great for spectators to with the cafe there and the runners coming back to the start at 3 miles. Hills very challenging and I wish I had taken more notice of the views at the top of them. Great to have a free photo at the finish, nice touch. No queues for the goody bag either. Well done to all involved.

In short: Weather was awful along the front, but good workout.
In full: If the weather is ok then its a great run with potential for PB's Marshalls do their best especially as half of it is crossing roads. This years momento was a flourescent hat which was brill and I have just come back from a run this morning wearing it. Ver useful. See you next year.
