In short: Ideal weather for quick times
In full: Unfortunately I went off too quickly and struggled later on. Got my T-Shirt without a queue and it has already shrunk in the wash. I was obviously near enough to the start and finished early enough to avoid the problems faced by others. Will definitely be back next year.

In short: Beautiful Course fantastically organised
In full: Wonderful course through the grounds of the spectacular Audley End. Some testing surfaces through the farm land made for slower than normal times but this race is all about the charity and the scenery. Weather a bit warm, but not really complaining!! Thanks to all involved.

In short: A well organised friendly race
In full: Clearly this race did not whet the appetite of the local elite as I found myself coming in the top ten, for the first time ever! Well organised race with a couple of upward inclines to keep you on your toes. Almost sent the starter, and my local MP flying whilst heading for the start, sorry about that Bob!! Well done to all those involved in the organisation.

In short: A great race!
In full: Have been meaning to do this race for years but have always managed to miss it. Finally got there this year and was very pleased I did. A really well organised race with some challenging hills. Really enjoyed running through the main road and enjoyed seeing so many people out supporting. Feast & Fayre was good and my kids had great fun, my eldest now wanting a ferret! Well done and thanks to all involved, see you next year.

In short: A lovely day ruined by having to run a marathon!!!
In full: I was told that Scotland didn't have a summer. Was doing ok until Mile 20, then really went backwards. Despite the breeze along the coastal road, the heat eventually caught up with me over the last six miles and was a bit disappointed with my time. Thought the organisation was fine, had no real beefs apart from a few of the mile markers appeared to be out.
Really enjoyed the finish, was feeling awful and the crowd and scenery helped me over the line.
There is nothing quite as demoralising as people steaming past you at regular intervals until you realise they were the relay runners, by which time the damage is done. If they can't run (hobble) the whole thing get them to run round a track!!!
Would be a disgrace if this event did not continue. Didn't realise it was so new, and considering thought it was definitly heading in the right direction. See the bigger picture local council, surely there was plenty of people visiting and spending their cash to warrent some backing. The airport yesterday evening was full of the walking wounded to prove the numbers.

In short: Very Fast
In full: As always a well organised race well supported by the locals. Took 90 seconds off of PB so obviously well chuffed. Looking forward to next year.
Thanks to all involved in organising.

In short: Fantastic Race superbly marshalled
In full: Much faster than previous years due to dry conditions (manaahed to take 25 minutess off of previous PB!!). The wind wasn't as bad as expected than goodness. Thought the goodybag wasn't too bad considering the race was pretty cheap although missed the usual T-Shirt.
Can't wait for next year!!!

In short: Superbly organised race.
In full: Exellent marshalling and facilities. The course is reasonably testing with a nice hill start. The wind wasn't really a factor until we hit about 6kms, then it really hit. A fine race, look forward to next year.

In short: Well marshalled and very fast.
In full: One of the highlights of the year this race. Managed a PB, although still haven't broken the 40 minute barrier. Agree the start was a bit manic, although the numbers were not insignificant, and that the toilets were a disgrace. Bit of local knowledge meant parking and getting away were not a problem. Always nice to finish in a stadium!!! although it isn't looking too happy these days. Looking forward to nest year.

In short: Tougher than expected due to the surface.
In full: Not a bad race along the sea wall, although the beginning was pretty poor as most did not quite know what was going on. One minute there was a photo being taken for the local rag, the next we were off. Seemed to be a bit of a mix up with the 5k runners at the front. Would much prefer if KM markers were used instead of mile ones. Also thought the marshalls looked a bit glum, clearly not runners, just rotarians.
Despite minor whinges, did enjoy the run, although went off too quick and died a bit late on. Did not realise the surface would take out as much as it did. Will certainly do next year.
