In short: so cold!
In full: turned up at this run fully expecting there to be a sign at the venue stating 'run cancelled due to adverse weather'. But it wasn't, and so glad - really well organised first-time event. 3 layers but -6 degrees meant i was still cold but lovely little local event and nicce course that seemed to be over really quickly. well done stampede sports

In short: great weekend
In full: Went over to Jersey for the weekend. Had a great time. Everything thought of. Nice early start was good as route not traffic free. Really good atmospere with a lot of 'off-islanders' in attendance. Surprisingly fast course even though 1-3miles a bit of a grind. Thank you everyone who helped put on a great show (with special thanks to mary).

In full: Enjoyed this one as always. Well done AVR - especially with course change due at the last minute because of overnight rain. A big thanks too to all the marshalls and helpers (who needs hellrunner? haha)

In full: oh and the (100) goody bags were donated from the earlier Clarendon Marathon. Otherwise all we would of had was a mars bar and a medal.

In short: good run but......
In full: Haven't done this race for a while and thought i'd enter rather than travel all the way to cardiff. Having read what others said a agree with some but could have easily solved with a little thought. 1. Why not tell the front runners that goody bags are limited so only take one if you want (i would have been happy not to get one if i'd realised they were in short supply) 2. director DID state that water stop at 5 miles might not be there in his defence - he should of had a mike BUT people should LISTEN to the pre race chat rather than talk among themselves ; then they would know.

All in all i found the lack of marshall only in the last mile (back along in front of the station and around the fields - where the guy in front of me took a wrong turn and i had to shout to tell him!!)

I was upset to that most of the faster runners could not find the time to cheer on the back markers - especially when they pass you with 1/2 a mile to go!! Lovely course and great run no matter what

In short: bit short
In full: well organised race for only the second time of the event. Chip timing a nice touch but a bit of a waste as I (and most of the others from my running club) found the course to be only just over 6 miles. Challenging course and the 'out and back' was a novelty

In short: Muddy great!
In full: Fantastic race that even the rain eased off for (not surprising after the amount we'd had overnight!). No bells and whistles but just a very well organised simple offroad run. Mud mud and more mud and a hill that makes you wonder what the heck you're doing there!. A real feel-good factor and a race I would recommend to anyone and everyone. A mudfest? Yes -GREAT!!

In short: Playful
In full: A slightly long course (that we were warned about) that the first half was quite a challenge. Would have been even more so in wet conditions but as we had a beautiful day the scenery was there to be enjoyed. First timer (so was the race organiser I later found out) who felt everything was organised very well. Glad I had this saturday off work as normally wouldn't of been to make this one. Congrats to all
