In short: Well organised
In full: Generally flat course with only a couple of hills, however pb potential is limited as part of the course is single file along a tow path, meaning no overtaking.

Very well organised event, plenty of marshalls and a nice goody bag and medal at end, although I'm still trying to work out what the red thing in the white box is?

Will be back next year!

In short: Hardest first 2k I've ever run!
In full: I went to get a bacon butty, an hour before the race, and the lady serving said that I would be wasting my money, as I would throw up before I got to the top of the hill.

I'm just glad that I took her advice ! Very steep, and long hill at the start, but worth the views at the top..

Well organised race, although probably not one for a first timer as very hilly and demanding.

Nice T shirt (bit on the large side), and hand made mug.

I was aiming to get under 1 hour, official time 1.00.01.....

Will be back next year.

In short: Hot...very hot.
In full: The weather made this a very demanding course, congratulations to all those who completed the course. Only gripe was 2nd water station, which was low on water (completely due to weather).

Will deninitely be back next year.

In short: Very well organised
In full: Organisation was very good, no queueing for anything. Setting runners off in waves worked very well.

Course is fast, as it quiet a flat course.

Superb for supporters, as by walking round park my girlfriend saw me 3 or 4 times.

Would definetly do it again.

Not sure about the results though, I'm sure the North ran quicker!

In short: Good Race - Bad transport
In full: Race itself is good, well organised, but why on earth do they not put on more trains at South Shields? I finished race at 12-45, but I didnt get to Newcastle central till 5.30, because the Newcastle transport system cant cope. I think they need to find a different location!
