In short: A 10k with real PB potential along country lanes starting, following a figure of 8, and finishing in the village. In full: A higely enjoyable race despite the appalling weather. The route is excellent following a figure of 8 along very quiet counrty lanes. It isn't hilly and the downhill finish is welcome.
There is plenty of support along the route as the race starts and finishes in the village, plus cuts through the village again at the midway point.
This race has real PB potential with the added plus of chip timing so official times should be spot on.
A huge thanks to the marshalls and organisers for a really well organised event plus standing around for hours in awful weather all for for the benefit of us runners. Date of review: May 28, 2007

In short: Demanding but certainly worth it. In full: A really enjoyable race. It is undulating so most of the time your either going up or down a hill but it keeps it interesting.
Well organised and a good mix of runners. Most of the roads are relatively quiet which makes for a good race. Plently of encouragement form the marshalls as well. Certainly needed the 3 drinks stations in the heat.
Overall an excellent race.

In short: A fantastic 10k on a quiet rural route. In full: A very well organised race with excellent marshalling. The hills add challenge to the course which includes both road and track surfaces. I will certainly do this race again. Date of review: April 13, 2007

In short: A great excuse to get out of the house on Boxing Day. Well organised, friendly marshalls and a nice 1.5 mile downhill finish, ideal for a novice like me. Without doubt I'll be back to do this one again next year. In full: Having only started running 6 months ago this was the first time I have entered a 5 mile race. I have run a couple of 10k's before but this race was the best marshalled and organised.
I did have an idea of the course before hand and knew most of the climb was in the early on. The last 1.5 miles being downhill is a godsend although the finish was a struggle as it was uphill again for the final 250 metres or so.
I will certainly do this race again next year. A nice t-shirt memento as well. Date of review: December 27, 2006
