In short: My second year and the last 2 miles were even worse than I remembered
In full: Very hard with a major sting in the tail. Falling into the trap of not checking the routr falowed most of the leaders for an extra mile and hill, ouch! Weather was almost perfect but the ground was like concrete and the trails were badly erroded by the heavey winter rain and need some work, this is not for the race organisers but for the downs committee if there is one. A great hard race and the marshals and drink station personel were excelent. I liked the welcome committee; very nice chains.

In short: As hard as I feared but a great day ,scenery, runners and weather outstanding
In full: I saw the event in the mag and thought what a silly thing to do 1 mile laps for a marathon. Next thing I know I have applied for the half. It was a surprise how 13 laps did not become a bore. Each lap had its own challenge with the steep decent ensuring concentration stayed essential. The last long slow climb to the end of the circuit became harded and harder. I hope it is on again and I will drag more of my club out to test their true grit. Marathon next time well?? It would help my Davos marathon training or kill me. I did not expect to say it but I can recommend it Thanks MOB.

In short: My16th and last ?London. I miss the Tower and cobbles, control in start pens zero.
In full: the traffic control to get to the start were chaotic as our normal coach route to the bottem of the park was closed early and we had to fight through the traffic to the start at the top of the park. This resulted in many of our nonrunners who were helpers at various points along the route normally dropped off by the coach, after the runners, having a long slow coach trip finding the way back agross the river. Has it become to big a media event and lost touch with runners?
