In short: Great fun
In full: A thoroughly enjoyable race on a beautiful evening in Worcester! Great course, brilliant memento, and the three goats who 'trespassed' onto the course at the end of the race added to the overall amusing/friendly atmosphere! Well done runaround sports - I'll be looking forward to the half marathon and the beastly feast!

In short: Not a PB reace, but rather nice!
In full: A truly glourious run around the Wyre forest in Worcestershire. This is a pretty testing run, probably one of the toughest half marathons Ive done (the hills are pretty tasty, and it was a rather warm morning, but that merely added to the thrill!) The organisation was good throughout and the crowds at the start/end were in good voice. I thoroughly enjoyed this run, and will definately be back for more next year! That last hill and I have unfinished business...

In short: A nice way to spend a Saturday morning!
In full: This was a nice change from road races - the canal towpaths allowed for some serious speed, as overall the course was pretty flat (with the exception of a few bridges, locks etc). Very good organisation at the start, the time trial format worked rather well, and a decent goody bag for the finishers! Well worth getting up early on a saturday for!

In short: A very pleasant run with an added village fete!
In full: A thoroughly enjoyable morning in Dorridge. The race itself was very good - with a really nice course, decent provision for runners (water stops etc), and decent support along most of the route. The feel at the start of the race was great however, with the fete attracting lots of supporters - and providing some great cake at the end! Really good - I'll be back next year

In short: Always one to look forward to - even in the heat
In full: Thankyou Malvern and Worcester AC for organising and staging another great triple run. Much warmer this year than last (the humidity was pretty bad - several people felt they weren't firing on all cylinders due to the oppressive heat)), but otherwise, a perfect day - great support, good water stops and seemless organisation from start to finish. I'm already looking forward to 2011!

In short: A pleasant way to spent the day
In full: A good race, on an incredibly warm day! Really good organisation from the outset, and a pretty decent course (with a few nice hilly sections). Plenty of water stops around the course - which came as blessed relief on such a warm day! Great support throughout - the people of Coventry turned out in force to cheer (although the lure of a morning spent sitting in the sunshine wouldn't have hurt!) Hats off to the cheerleaders too, they were in excellent voice!

In short: A good race, with some challenging aspects
In full: A very pleasant race, set in some glorious countryside!
There are many posities to report from the marathon - in particular, the organisation was very good throughout, with helpful stewards and marshalls across the course. The route itself is pretty challenging (the greenway from miles 20-25, as many people have commented on, was a real test of mental strength and resilience!)whist the finish was particularly nice - with a good crowd turning out to cheer us on!

Overall, I would recommend this race to others - and have done so! A slight niggle was that the water stops could have done with some more bottles/energy drinks - rather than cups and water (a 'problem' which may have to be addressed through the raising of entry fees to cover the cost), but overall, a thoroughly pleasant mornings' work!

In short: A top race
In full: My first attempt at the Ashby 20, and I was thoroughly impressed throughout with the race. Informative pre-race literature (with reccomendations as to where spectators should stand) and fantastic organisation at both start and finish. The race itself takes in the pretty scenery around Ashby-de-la-Zouch, with runners completing 2 laps of the course. There are some steady inclines, but regular water stops and great support throughout made it a thoroughly pleasant jaunt. And the goody bag and sweatshirt at the end round off what can only be described as a top race! Well done Ashby!

In short: Always one to look forward to!
In full: Another great event by the good folks from Stourbridge Running Club! Seamless organisation, great stewarding, and a suitably difficult course - with a nice mix of all terrain! I'll be looking forward to the Stourbridge Stumble come August.

In short: Jolly good fun!
In full: First race of 2010 for me, and a nice way to get back into things. A nice course (lots of pleasant scenery, although as others have commented, the first mile is along a rather narrow, potholed stretch of road), with some fairly testing hill climbs along the first half of the route. Overall, very pleasant - and a sunny day too!
