In short: PW for me this year due to injury but still an all time favourite race
In full: To do or not to do. Oh go on then. Despite dropping almost 30 mins on last week's time and 20 on last year's it was well worth turning up for. Great organisation, very friendly, good food/drinks available at reasonable prices. No aspect of commercial rip-off. Great scenery, no outstanding scenery. The tough bits make it all the more worthwhile as they add to the sense of achievement. Even a health warning on the instructions shows that thess guys care about their runners. I'll be back as this will be a calendar event for me and with a category change next year.....

In short: I keep coming back because it is a good race.
In full: I'll be interested to know how many started and finished. I've done them all and this certainly felt much more crowded. I was pacing 8 mins and it was far busier than last year. Delayed start of 15 mins not as bad as a previous occassion when it was bitterly cold but for all the right reasons I believe. Better organised than some previous years apart from water 1 which I believe was too small. Good support. T-shirts will always be a prob but a memento e.g car, paperweight, F1 towel or even a baseball cap could cheer a lot of people up. VFM absolutely especially compared to many city marathons. Not one of my favourites but just know I will be back. Well done guys on all but the t-shirts but thanks for changeing it to black...so much better than previous white ones and no large, unsightly sponsor logos either.

In short: 3 distances, 3 laps, 3 in the series, recommend to all
In full: Did 5.4 in Dec, 10.4 today will do 15.4 in Feb. Odd distance so guaranteed pb. Organisers great fun. Simple race, simple memento, great idea. Staged starts so by the end everyone can see someone. Deserves greater support and needs shouting about.

In short: Friendly, well organised event which deserves better support
In full: The event is organised round a loop in the Forest of Dean which allows runners to choose 5.4km. 10.4km or 15.4km. The starts are staggered so the longer distance, mid and short move of at 15 min intervals. Chipped for time and a medal at the end with t-shirt for people doing all three in the series. Great idea and desrves more support.Firm trails allowed for easy running but without the pounding of tarmac. Good camaraderie and small enough field for facilities to cope seamlessly. highly recommended.

In short: Low cost budget event but great vfm. Beautiful race
In full: Did not expect much given the cost snd instructions but well organised event, well marshalled by cheery supporters. Manual timing more than acceptable. Race title hides the fact that this is run in glorious fast flat countryside. Two laps, bit sticky and potholed in one part but otherwise good news all round. Decent medal, enough water and jaffa cakes/ jelly babies at the finish too. Okay, it was basic, but cheap and will get more support as word gets out how good this inaugural event turned out to be.

In short: Much improved on last year, thoroughly enjoyed, will be back
In full: Better supported than last year and better organised, especially the finish. Water spacing could have been better and the tables were neither long enough nor manned well enough. Our group shared water among ourselves because so many missed. 3/4 people to the bottle at some stops. Very tight in places and I accept the late route change did not help but as with last year, coming back from the millennium stadium we rand down a narrow street with cars both sides...hmmm. Nice medal, towel a welcome relief from yet another t-shirt and will be used much more and it is tasteful. Unfortunately, not every bag contained, several colleagues were short of that memento. Crowd support good were they were present and commentator was highly motivational too. Would welcome return to the stadium, however, as it really makes an event extra special.

In short: Curate's egg, good in parts
In full: So many places to run through and we don't. What's up with kelvin hall, art galleries, botanical gardens etc versus Kingston Even the people's palace misses out. T-shirt is appalling and just a mobile billboard or cloth for the car wash. Medal lacks imagination. It is, however, very, very well organised but not well publicised. I come back home 300 miles for this and see no evidence of it until the day. Will they bring back the marathon? Support in areas fantastic. Organisation start and finish superb, bananas, blankets, water, meeting area, but why not undo the medals and put them on people. Some runners are over the moon at completing this race and it is their olympic feat...please recognise that. Keep up the good work and please accept these comments as opportunities, not direct criticism.
