In short: challenging run lovely bridge
In full: very good race, though less well attended than the Kilomathon derby, but still a good course (certainly not flat as described. I enjoyed the bridge and starting and finishing at the same point. Only slight negative points were the awful hill around mile 11ish and as I would have liked a medal different from the first Kilomathon. Looking forward to Wales and London.

very sad to hear of the death of a fellow runner
condolences to family and friends

In short: wonderful challenging race
In full: 2nd time I have done this event and loved it as much as the first. Great organisation and a lovely non big city feel to it. Great organisation and plentiful support and water stations. Very undulating course, but the hills up did not go on to long and the downhills were great. sad to see a few people collapse just at the end before entering the last 400m. Lovely quality t-shirt(though I do love a medal can even be a bottle top on a piece of string)One of the best halfs I have done this year and does not need to be altered (love the course). Look forward to next year and another PB

In short: nice fast course
In full: excellant race. The scenery isn't the greatest but the organisation was spot on and the course was nice and fast. Graet meadal and tshirt and nice goody back (especially the shortbread). One or two hills but nothing to challenging

In short: challenging run on some wacky surfaces
In full: Having run a fair few half's on road I found this tough. There was some lovely scenery, but running through forest paths you seemed to miss a lot. The terrain was tough and avoiding tripping and falling over was a challenge in parts.

positives lovely area and challenging run.Good to have sports drinks on one of the stands

negatives I did not feel it was that easy to find. There were not enough people giving out water, had to stop while they poured. No goody bag

In short: flat challenging race over bumpy surface
In full: An excellant and novel race on a generally flat course ran over at times bumpy surface. I enjoyed the start which felt a bit like parachuting out of a plane as we dashed out of the door at the start. I forgot to turn off auto pause on my garmin so the last mile felt like a mile and a half. I will certainly do this again next year

In short: hot and humid! but great run
In full: ran this one last year in perfect running conditions, what a change this year. Very hot and humid, not sun hot like Coventry, but like being a baked potatoes in trainers!

good organisation and reasonable atmosphere a bit low key compared to last year. The high humidity made this a challenging run, with no really massive hills it was good undulating course.

nice to see Mick n Phil back in action

will be back next year

In short: hot and hilly
In full: I was pleasantly surprised with this race as expected little in the way of scenery. I was wrong and race went through some nice areas. I thought other than the congested start the organisation was spot on

The support from the locals was great and the hoses and water guns a god send!
will be back in 2011

organisers could we have some tshirts for 2011 please

In short: challenging andworthwhile
In full: Ths was my first marathon and I struggled to make the start line due to achilles tendontis. I must thank my physio Catherine adams. This was a challenging run in hot conditions. However,it was a good run and well organised. I must also thank Andy(16 marathons) who kept me going when times were tough and gave we welcome advice that enabled me to to finish in 4.13

will have another crack when I can train properly for this one

In full: a well organised race and friendly race. The course is challenging with some good hills, but the hills are spaced out and you get a chance to recover. The scenery is lovely and the route is a good challenge, having ran Clowne I felt this was equally as challenging. I will back next year
