In short: A really good event
In full: And it seems so much better year on year.I know some people prefer the big start in Westgate Street and big stadium finish but for me and many others the slightly smaller field and overall friendliness of the whole set up really makes a change.
A well organised,well marshalled event.
I'm just grateful that Miss Jenkins didn't sing,I know she is well liked by many, and she will be a great ambassador for KRUF,but she just cannot sing. Sorry!!

In short: A real gem
In full: This has got to be my favourite race so far this year.
A really good test and a cracking example of multi terrain.
Perhaps it's time National and International Cross Country courses where made this testing?
Excellnet organisation, marshalling superb all the way.
Don't change anything (apart from reversing the route next year!).

In short: Good organisation......
In full: Shame about the contractor who let everyone down.
I have noticed some comments about being disillussioned by what happened,it surely was out of the Directors hands.
I still maintain it is asteep price of entry, but golly it is worth almost every penny.Excellent goody bag.
Marshalling and water stations were again of the highest order and the crowd support this year seemed even better.
A little niggle of mine though, and it happens everywhere,is the amount of idiots who clearly are still getting away with not following the rules of good manners. They know who they are.Similarly those muppets who are so obviously running from the wrong start point.Yet again, people walking after a mile, and in two cases actually stopping for a fag!
Not sure about next year. It's not the organisation that is wrong, perhaps the field is too big.Or we as runners expect too much?
Discuss!!!

In short: Ouch!
In full: That's a double ouch!!
I found this tougher than any marathon.
Not a great deal of crowd support, very much a test of mental stamina as well as fitness.
Brilliant support from the marshalls and fellow runners/lunatics!
Not sure if I'll do this again.Tomorrow is anotehr day!!!

In short: Things can only get better....
In full: God I hate that song! But then anything to do with the Labour Party gets me annoyed....Ooops wrong page!!!
Moving on.
Things were better this year,at the start and during the race.Toilet facilities left a lot to be desired though!
6 portaloos hidden away and poor facilities in City Hall were not condusive to runners and spectators alike.
Room for improvement there methink.
The finish was OK but meeting points for relatives were nonexistant. My good lady was outside the castle at the 13mile mark and for me to meet her,I had to jog round from the front of the castle (dodging through damn fools streaming in!) to meet her.
Again a minor point and one I'm sure the organiser and race director will act on for next year..
In case anyone wonders why I rate the scenery as glorious,I find beauty in all things! The industrial landscape is to be studied and viewed as an entity that shaped Cardiff. Please, take another look!
Overall an improvement on last year, but can do better.7 out of 10.

In short: Nice race.....
In full: ...shame about the goody bag!
Which actually was the only thing wrong with the whole weekend,so it's not really a "proper whinge"!
You can please some of the people all of the time...
Hey, I'm pleased!!
My time was a minute and half quicker than on the clock,so beware of the ones currently on the Great Run page, they may be updated as the week goes on.
My son ran a PB of 1h 23mins! I am so chuffed for him.
I was fortunate to start at the front in Orange zone B and encountered little difficulty having to dodge past those who in the past have started way ahead of their realistic finishing times.Well done to the organisers for getting the wave start so very right.

A really massive "Thank you!!" to everybody who took part in whatever capacity, runner, walker, marshall,St Johns, youth organisations,bands....and especially the good people of Newcastle and South Shields.
You are all amazing!!!
See you next year!!!

In short: The joy of Swansea in the rain!
In full: A really well organised race again. The whole set up is with out doubt something that is the bench mark that all events should be aiming to acheive.
Parking, marshalling, start and finish. All are run and maintained in a most outstanding way.
The one downer? My time! I timed at under 45 mins (44mins 12secs),time on clock 46mins 30secs.
Good to see familiar faces, some who now finish behind me.....at last!!!

In short: A lovely day...
In full: ..and nice and early too!
Got back home before 11 o'clock.Any chance of an early start next year?
Well organised, though a lttle hectic at the start.
Water station was not as well managed as it could have been, missed the bottle that was thrown at me.I know it was been manned by the Military Prep College, but leave the grenade practice for the Brecons!
Very good support all the way.
Providing the dates don't clah with Glasgow Half Martathon next year (as in the previous four,I'll be back).
Thanks Graham for an excellent morning!!!

In short: A good time was had by all...
In full: A very well organised event that gets better each year.
The lesons from last years "fiasco" of the meeting places and exit points have been learned.
This now ranks as one of my all time favourite big city races.
Glasgow is awesome!
See you all next year!!!

In short: I'm singing and dancing in the rain.......
In full: Yet despite the rain it was another great race.
Hopefully in 18 months time when I reach 50 I'll get a medal!!!
