In short: Everyone was really friendly at the end - not like some races where everyone dashes off ASAP. For a 1st time-running, the organisation was very impressive !

In short: Good race with ideal weather. Marshalls could have been a little more enthusiastic though. Whether you are a strong runner who needs that final encouragement to squeeze a PB out, or your struggling to finish, that friendly encouragement is essential

In short: Why do I come back for more pain year after year?
In full: 3rdtime I've run this race , and the uphill bits at 1.5 miles made this the hardest yet. Marshalls were fantastic - to not lose their enthusiasm after 4 hours was awesome and I would have given up at 18 miles without them. The only grumble is about the relay organisation ; fresh runners suddenly barging their way past, when you are trying to settle into a rhythm needs addressing!

In short: The extra water station since I last did this race 2 years ago was very welcome. When will I learn that the final grassy run round the rugby pitch is longer than it looks, and I'm not young enough to sprint this final bit anymore !

In short: Fun race for a seasoned road runner like me - was disappointed with lack of support at finishing line, and marshalls send me the wrong way 50m from the end - had to jump over 2 ropes !

In short: After struggling with a dodgy foot for the last fortnight, managed to break my pb by 7 minutes, despite the challenging hills. Definitely worth the trip for someone who runs 99% of the time on pancake-flat roads, and wants to learn to conquer hills.
