In short: Always one for my calander
In full: Lovely race and a great way to start a Sunday morning.

Many thanks again to the Marshalls for their support.

In short: Blimey that wind was strong today
In full: And despite that making the course more challenging than usual we still had a wonderful time.

The signs still make me giggle even though I've seen them a few times now. The Marshalls were (as ever) fabulous and the Mars Bar at the end was the best I've ever had :o)

A regular in the Happychap race calender and this year didn't disappoint.

In short: A particularly strong wind whistling across the downs did nothing to...
In full: Dampen spirits. Even when accompanied by that horrible fine rain which gets you soaked through and stings eyes.

The welcome from the organisers added to lovely helpful cheery marshalls, the beautiful views you know exist behind the curtain of mist across Epsom Downs, the super (always unusual and very useful) token at the end with water stations a plenty and even Quality Street en route made it a very pleasant start to the racing year.

I'll be back next year.

In short: Perfect for a trial run before an Autumn marathon
In full: And to be honest, thats the only reason I was there.

As usual the marshalls and helpers did a splendid job. And strangely, I seemed to know most of them which definitely kept me going. Many thanks to all of you :-)

This will never be the best race in the world due to traffic and location but it did its job today.

In short: I didn't know Ashtead common had that many hills
In full: I'm sure Dr Rob must have planted some last night.

Lovely, local, friendly, sunny, splendid race. Please run it next year :-)

A particular 'thank you' to the Marshalls for their support and cheering.

In short: A lovely day out...
In full: Well, weekend actually as we stayed down for the whole weekend this year.

I would always recommend this race and today with the great organisation, lovely weather, lots of sponges and waterstations and great support is exactly the reason why.

Thank you very much :-)

The only downside, not in the organisers control, was the two or three idiots who decided they didn't want to wait in the traffic and did three point turns (nearly squishing runners) to then travel along in the same direction, scattering more people - run em through with a rusty bayonet I say.

In short: Hot, muggy and slow this year!
In full: At least I was.

Still a lovely race and I'll be back next year

Not sure if that last kilo marker is in the right place. The last k took about 3 mins longer than all the others.

In full: But then again, I said that last year and the year before.

It's a brilliant race. Don't need to say anymore, come and see it for yourself next year!
