In short: Good race
In full: Well organised local league race. Weather turned from fog to glorious sunshine it felt like mid summer. This year with chip timing which seems a bit overkill, though it makes the organisers life so much easier at the finish. Will be back next year.

In short: God this is hard.
In full: A 10k with a difference, first km is a very steep climb with a prize for first to the top, next km is still more uphill, next 6km are up and down including one further killer hill then 1 km gentle downhill and then 1 km suicidally steep descent. Marvellous. Oh did I mention the mud, there was lots. Well organised with a differnt from the norm momento.

In short: Enjoyable race
In full: Another good race and another PB, though I don't do that many 7.2k races. Looking forward to next year, must try harder to beat Sonia O'Sullivan!

In short: Now a solid addition to the summer racing calendar
In full: This race is now a really good race, OK it's a very tight course and there are bollards to avoid but now the organisers have proper marshalls who know what they are doing it's perfectly safe. I like three laps, it's quick and I really like this race and will be back next year.

In short: What a local 10k should be.
In full: Excellent organisation, bargain price of £7 including a T shirt, friendly marshalls especially given the wind and the rain and there was a bar at the end :-). Will be supporting Tadley's excellent series of races throughout the year.

In short: Good Start to a Bank Holiday - pouring with rain
In full: Good 5 mile race though I took a tumble at the start as it's very tight around the football pitch at the start. Wind and rain isn't the organisers fault but meant I was a min down on last year and I'm sure the first hill gets stepper every year.

In short: Nice undulating race, though the May heatwave was not nice
In full: Well done to Alton Runners, well organised event. The heat absolutely floored me and it was a Personal Worst since New Forest 10 in 2005 (Also a scorching hot day).

In short: Let's hope it's not the last running
In full: This race was designed for PB's and is well organised as always. Unfortunately the police are refusing to provide cover for the race; not because the organisers won't pay nor because there is anything wrong with the course. The Race Director said it is due to other priorities. Just what are the police doing on a Sunday Morning!!! Then to add insult to injury just as we started a police car drove the wrong way round the first kilometre loop. You couldn't make it up.

In short: Brilliant race over a stunning off-road course
In full: Another great Combe Gibbet Race. This is really one of the best off road races in the country. It's a point to point race so we were put on coaches to the start and there was even a police escort to make sure we were on time. The view from the start was magnificent and for virtually all of the race you were treated to some of the finest scenery this part of Hampshire has to offer. With all the rain we've had recently the course was tough with some serious mud in the first five miles, though it was always "runnable", and that mud really sapped the energy. The climb up to the top of Ladle Hill was as tough as ever but the last five miles are a nice downhill reward. The marshalling and organisation was superb and the home made cakes just topped off a great day. Will be back next year.

In short: Good Organisation - Though Very Big Now
In full: This race is becoming a victim of it's own success. Well organised and a fair PB potential course. Race time pens helped with the congestion but still there were "plodders" in the elite pen and it is a very crowded start. Runners who deliberately lie about their finnishing time to get to the front of a race should be a shot - that would encourage PB's ;-)
