In short: A Really Good 10km without feeling like a Goose
In full: The organisation of a new (almost) traffic free course when most races are struggling to overcome red tape in such a faultless way is nothing short of a race directors miracle. The course is better if a little slower. The marshalls were excellent and in abundent supply. Also congratulations for not succuming to chip timing despite the numbers, it's nice not to feel like a goose.

In short: Fast, Flat and Interesting
In full: I enjoyed the race, flat and fast good marshals and a snack on the way round. All the negativity should not detract from the nucleus of a good course, views of the Solent, hovercraft, largely traffic free and very flat. I for one prefer it to the previous offering and will be back so long as the race director doesn't read all the moaning and decide to jack it in (I would).

Finally a big thanks to all that put on the race I appreciated your months of hard work!

In short: Probably the Best Half in the World (Just Don't Tell the Masses)
In full: I raised a couple of draw backs last year and said of they are ironed out it would be one of the best, they were, it is! I'm sure it wasn't my input the organisers know much more about races than I do but this is an outstanding race. The scenery is fantastic, how many races can boast park, industrial, forest and coastline? The weather was lovely, the showers warm, the marshals friendly and encouraging, water stations well manned and positioned, the mile markers in exactly the right place and the organisation floorless. Any improvements? possibly, I just don't know where!

In short: A Highlight of the Racing Calander
In full: Another great day out from the Childrens races to the main event. Excellent organisation, great local support friendly marchalls and an excellent momento, no PB but it is a little hilly, I will be back next year, and a good many after that.

In short: A Race within a Race for the Inner Nutter
In full: Fantastic race or should I say races, as there is a prize for the first to the top of peak hill, a whole km of wonderfully steep uncompromising climbing. If you decided to race the first km, which I did, then the rest of the race is about survival, I was struggling to count to 50 for the next 2km! Apparently the rest of the course was muddy and hilly, but I simply don't remember as I was just trying to keep going, although I remember trying to run back down the hill at mach 1!!! Thank you Sidmouth a fantastic run, great course, friendly marshals and spectacular location

In short: Quick Evening Outing Around Winchester Cathedral
In full: Lovely venue for a race, running around Winchester Cathedral along the River and finishing in the Park. The course is narrow and twisting in place with some very hard obstacles, which saw two runners come to grief, which could be avoided with a little more vocal marshalling and a reccy of the course beforehand by the runners. The marshalling has got much better this year thanks to the Air Cadets well done, and thank you. Only one real complaint is the shoddy medal at the end, either don't bother, get something worthwhile or at least put a ribbon on!

In short: Excellent Race served with Plenty of Water
In full: First and Foremost, thank you to all of the Marshalls and the Organisers for running a fantastic race on such a miserable day, to stand out in the rain for 1hr+ is true dedication, thank you again.

Second year for me, and improved my PB again, which considering the conditions which were, very very wet with a stiff breeze combined with a moderatly steep hill for the enitre first mile is amazing. The course should not yield PB's but it does which must be because the majority of the hard work is in the first mile.

In short: Very well organised event with a great course
In full: This is not a PB course however it is a very good course challenging and scenic with excellent marshalling. My race was blown by the heat but that was my fault.

In short: Such a Fast Course it Doesn't Matter Where it Is
In full: Excellent course for PB's well organised (well except for the police getting in the way after half a km!) and a useful momento. Well thought through and executed race. If you are interested in setting a PB this race should feature on your calender.
