In short: Another potentially good 10k time spoilt by the weather (at least it kept dry!)
In full: The weather in Brighton is good sometimes! Thank you marshals for braving the weather. Two small points: saw only two KM markers during race 6.5km and 8km. and no water at the finish - or did I miss it in the rush to get back to the car! I will be back and will hope for nice weather.

In short: Undulating two laps through pleasant woodland and country roads.
In full: Good race, challenging with pleasant scenery. Parking is a mile away - good for a warm up/down jog?! Slowest half in over 12 years due to injury - but will be back!!

In short: This is an experience - forget PB (unless in first pen!) and enjoy!
In full: Yes it's crowded but what an experience. So long as you have trained for it just relax and enjoy - save PB for another day!! I have run it 12 times and luckily never further back than pen 5 - and I stay in South Shields Saturday and Sunday nights - so my experiences have been hassle free. Not the cheapest race to enter but the organisation is superb. Minor moan: when are BUPA T shirts going to be "wicking/technical".

In short: Good course but Organisation needs a rethink!!
In full: It's all been said - and I am still waiting for the T shirt! I didn't run in 2006 but ran in previous 4 and this was the worst organised of the 5. I do like the course and even the inclines seemed easier this year. Organisation can only get better can't it? NOTE to organisers - if you want to make it as big as GNR - dont!! Also, look at Robin Hood Nottingham, Lady Godiva Coventry and Great Eastern Peterborough, half marathons to see how a City Centre race can be organised.

In short: Scenic, two laps on farm road/tracks. quality Tshirt. Recommended
In full: Interesting distance - with 10k marker. Nice incline towards end of each lap!! Friendly atmosphere with quality T shirt as memento. Lots of local club runners. Minor moan - finished sub 57 mins and appeared that drinks had run out, (but had brought my own) and queue for T-shirt backed up to Finish line. Other than these minor points great race. Well done! Will be back.

In short: Good race, PB potential - but beware of weather!
In full: It's all been said in other reviews. I have done six out of the last seven GSRs, always back in my car on the Common well within 2 hours and never had a problem getting out - until this year. Two hours to get off common and 30 mins for the 2 miles to M275!! Council and/or Police please sort it out!! Charging £3 for parking is not on; parking control appeared no different to previous years - added no value. I am not blaming SEP for the problems getting of the Common, the problem was the roads out of town.
Despite traffic I will be back!

In short: Well organised city half .
In full: Perfect weather. Well organised and marshalled. Start and finish at the same place. Two or three hills (up and down). Varied scenery, good support around course. Enjoyable race. Two minor points: Please provide velcro ankle strap for Chip - I used one I kept from a previous half this year - much easier pre and post race. Water stations could be slightly longer especially those with Lucozade and water, also two were undermanned. Otherwise excellent race - will be back.

In short: Go for it!!
In full: If you can't PB here ......!! No bottlenecks (although if 7000 capacity is reached one or two may occur) Start is in city centre so great for parking and after race refreshment. Mundane scenery (housing estates) but supportive locals. Very well organised and marshalled. Completely traffic free. Good goody bag. Well worth entering. Will be back!!
