In short: Achieved my target time and a bit, so very happy!
In full: Where were those cakes I was promised, somehow I missed them! A big thank you to the marshals for turning out on such a miserable day and still being cheerful! Some minor quibbles with organisation, some difficulty in finding where things were as a newcomer to this event, but overall very happy and thanks to some very friendly Poole AC runners for helping to make the miles disappear.

In short: Like running an expensive hash!
In full: Course; Good but not as challenging as advertised, not in the same league as 'The Terminator' or the 'Rough'n'Tumble 10' Also was actually only 9.85 miles!
Value: Poor, for an expensive and heavily sponsored event, the goody bag was totally naff. Personally prefer T shirt to medal.
Organisation: Average, I agree with the previous comments about lack of marshalls. Didn't find the car park as bad as I expected, had something to eat and drink and the queue to exit had gone.( You should have tried the Great South Run last week, 3 hours for some to get out of cp!)
Atmosphere: Really pleasant and friendly.

In short: First experience of such a large event, not sure if it is my scene
In full: Very mixed feelings about this event, organisation and loos pretty good, incredibly slow start, I think that I'm a slow runner but I couldn't get going for first 2 miles and spent all the race overtaking, should have started at the front of the white wave, not towards the back.I actually enjoyed the last 2 miles into the wind! Getting off the car park was a total nightmare, no guidance at all as how to get out, eventually left E bound as that was moving and looped around back to the motorway.

In short: Excellent race, best trophy ever!
In full: Change of date is disappointing, this may have been contributory to the drop in entrants. The trophy put all other events in the shade! I have entered far more expensive events and only received a really shoddy trophy.

In short: Really enjoyed it
In full: There seemed to be more downhill than up, most unusual! Really enjoyed the whole event, apart from missing my target by just under 2 mins, so will have to come back next year. Probably a little hot for a pb, but I'm not complaining.

In short: Well done to the organisers!
In full: Although I'm not a great fan of road running, this is the road event to do, brilliant organisation. No real queues to the loos even. I even managed a PB! The hills didn't seem as bad as last year. What happened to all those entrants who didn't turn up? Can't they cope with a bit if rain?

In short: It wouldn't take much to make this an excellent event
In full: Good location, course nicely challenging, but needs some minor alterations, particularly with regard to the start and length ( I made it 10.55 km) I had no problem with the marshals, all seemed friendly to me, but the organisers do need some professional help to sort out the running of this event. I do like events where the entry fee goes directly to the charity, but I have noticed before that you have to accept that the organisation can be disappointing. However I am sure that there are runners who would be willing to help. I live locally and would be quite happy to talk with the Rotary club about next year's event.

In short: The mud made it for me, it's a great leveller
In full: Still can't decide whether it's tougher than R'n'T, thogh I have 2 tight hamstrings and a painful knee today. I think that the R'n'T seems to have a better atmosphere but I can't decide why, I shall just have to do them both again next year!

In short: Got a PB so shouldn't complain!
In full: I'm glad I go in a motorhome and have my own loo facilities. Course fairly challenging, particularly the little hill in the middle. Unlike most people I didn't like the finish, it seemed endless! However knocked 2 minutes of my pb! The event seemed to lack atmosphere, which was a shame as the setting was superb. Entry fee was a bit steep, I don't mind that when a significant amount goes to charity. ps if you want real hills then try the Rough'n'tumble 10.

In short: Brilliant
In full: Challenging course but very friendly atmosphere both from the marshalls and other runners make this a must do event and I knocked 6 minutes off my time from last year, can't be bad. Only one complaint:Some greedy *****s had eaten all the cakes by the time I got in!!!
