In short: Well worth the trip from the south of england!
In full: Invited to this run by friends and it didn't disappoint. My only grouch was (and usually is at the big races) is that although you're colour coded, people still sneak into the wrong pens - I don't see the point if you have chip timing after all!!
That apart, VERY impressed with the organisation and support. Echo the previous comment of pipers along the route as a nice touch. Route included streets around the city but also nice park areas to vary the scenery. Tech T would've been nice but very good goody bag. Well done Glasgow, great race!!

In short: Speechless!
In full: Missed this one last year and realised again today what a fantastic race this is. Apart from the parking (that you were warned about!) and the hectic start (that can happen when the race sells out by 10am!!) - which were only minor niggles; this is an absolute must for evryone's calendar as far as I'm concerned.Good marshalling, mile markers and encouragement (esp on the run-in to town) gave you a warm feeling - along with the excellent and useful towel for all finishers (brilliant VFM considering the price of entry). A PB in the process means it does what it says 'a pb potential course'. Knocked 1/2min off my easter bunny time. EXCELLENT. Thank you Langport

In short: great race
In full: few problems with loos at the start (but that was soon rectified). nice lot of portaloos at the start/finish area. nasty 'crawling' climb at 11-12 miles but still managed a PB (best ever)! agree with the earlier comment that bigger races just can't compete on organisation or value for money. thank you doddlers. great day for all

In short: hottest day of the year!!
In full: A VERY hot day and a challenging course did not stop this being a special event. A first time for this course for the organisers Totton and an option to complete it as a relay; but to me, everything about it put many (and even some very large) events to shame - well spaced water stops, pleasant marshalls (that called you by name!! - a nice touch), brilliant goody bag for such a small event, results online exceptionally quickly and even asking for feedback after the race to see if anything could be improved on. DEFINITELY put this on your running list for next year folks

In short: great day
In full: It might have been 2nd May but wind rain cold and almost mud in places made this a great cross country run for me. Great goody bag for a small event - big events take note. lovely organisation and good selection of prizes. VERY well done Somer!!!

In short: post race problems
In full: Enjoyed the race and well organised on the day. Only problem seems to be the web page and results (the company it gives as doing the chip timing know nothing about it at all!)

Oh and yet ANOTHER chip timed race that varies by more than half a minute from my Garmin - how is this possible when with non chip races it agrees exactly with the time keepers?

In short: easter eggs mmmmmmm
In full: wasn't sure whether to do or not as ran hanham yesterday. glad i did as got a pb. now i know a lot think its easier for a pb on the flat but personally i prefer something a bit 'lumpy' maybe so that the effort isn't so persistant. so all in all well pleased. Nice egg, nice course, good marshalls (thankyou) and no real hiccups
