In short: Good run on a two lap course In full: Second time of running so knew what to expect. Very slight uphill from the start for the first 0.7 miles ascending around 24ft so nothing to taxing and a good warm up for the legs. From there it is a slight downhill curving around several long bends. hard to negotiate the shortest route and thus the differing distances but nice and smooth with only the occasional tuft of grass. A bit of a rise more than a hill from mile 2 for about three quarters of a mile, slows you a bit, but not too taxing. Then pretty flat through to the start and around again. My Garmin showed around 72% flat with 11% ascending and 17% descending so not bad at all.
I enjoyed the race, not as hot as last year even though there was no wind.
Would be interesting to see if they could start further back from the finish and remove the dog leg in the middle, but even with the dog leg it was great.
In short: An hour delay! Followed by almost no medals and T Shirts for the slower Runners! In full: As many other people have mentioned not the best organised race this year and no T-Shirts as promised? Not hard maths to do 15 000 runners equals 15 000 T-shirts! Date of review: March 16, 2008
In short: Great friendly race for beginners or better runners alike In full: This is my second year of running it and I will be back next year, an improvement of 16 minutes on my last year time so here is to another 15! Date of review: July 9, 2006
