In short: 530m of incline so lets say fairly hilly
In full: not a pb potential in short. the xc part of the course was great, giving a view across the circuit and more scenic but the undulating circuit itself was quite relentless. there were a lot of fun runners who looked in quite a bit of pain. The hills aside, organisation was really good and the event was well marshalled, loads of toilets and parking and a nice goody bag at the finish line. The event was well supported and for the atmosphere, a unique race......just beware of the relentlessness of the adverse camber and the undulation of the circuit!

In short: windy but seemless organisation
In full: firstly a big thanx to the marshalls for a really tight organisation to the start, course and finish. the new stadium is really nice and facilities not too crowded despite nearly 1000 runners. I am not a local but dartford is actually a nice country run believe it or not despite crossing under the M2 and M25. what was the deal with the wind? it was in the face out and back?? the last hill was a bit of a suprise having not run b4 but will deffo be back next year for the first 10 of the year, which is a good barometer for marathon fitness. well done dartford runners

In short: a good way to sweat out the miscreancy of xmas day
In full: first time i have done a 5 miler in ages and boxing day is a good day to do this kind of run. great if, like me you did this on the way to the parents up the A12 later on for more turkey. very well organised and marshalled, especially with some post-hangover xmas drivers weaving on the road. begins in witham sprawl but meanders in a loop around some pleasant farming countryside with an altitude from 20m up to 50m by my watch. with a 1.5m downhill toward the finish, deffo a place for a pb but a bit much to ask for a boxing day run, unless of course you had no drink or over-indulgence the day before. well done. i'll be back next year to better my 35 min time. cheers to the marshalls and a nice t-shirt too.
