In short: Really enjoyed this today In full: Was not on my best form but the race was brill and got me back in the zone. Thanks to orgasiers, it all went really smoothy and puts some bigger 10ks like Clumber Park in the shade. That last hill was a killer but made me enjoy my bacon sandwich even more after. In short: Very disappointing In full: Amazed myself by my time for a first half marathon, but the sheer frustration caused by the poor organisation made it such an anticlimax and a let down. Was expecting motivational vibes no stop-even the tune I requested when I applied- but I must be very gullible. Travelled down from Yorkshire for this- in future will stay local or try for the Great North Run. So very let down. Date of review: October 5, 2008
In short: Disappointing In full: After last years mix up at the start, this year it was at the beginning. Very frustating queues and I was well early. Surprised there was a 15 min delay, was expecting it to be longer. Shame about excatly same T shirt as last year- did they have a job lot? Very little atmosphere, an anticlimax at the end and felt let down, even though did a very good time and possibly a PB. Leeds Abbey Dash runs like clockwork, with a massive field- whats up Clumber? In short: Hard work in the heat In full: Great if very personally challenging race. Gave me a massive sense of achievement afterwards as nearly chickened out. Difficult on the soft grass in parts and agree about the point that the end was in sight then another gruelling 2.5 miles to go. Thanks for great organisation, cool T shirt and goody bag. Dunno about the pink soap and the brown shampoo! Date of review: June 9, 2008
In short: Got a PB so got to be a good one In full: Really enjoyed this race. The scenery was not brilliant but apart from that it was excellent and will be here next year. Brilliant organisation- thanks. Date of review: April 20, 2008
In short: Really enjoyed it In full: So used to walking round Wakey shopping, or boozing- a bit surreal running down Westgate instead of pub crawling. Very very enjoyable- pity I did not crack my target of one hour, but getting there. Thanks to all who enjoyed it and for me it was special as was glad to support the hospice.
In short: Hilly or what! In full: Really enjoyed the race, but just far too hilly for me personally. Hope to be back next year, another 12 months experience under my belt, but right now, am shattered. Congratulations to all you guys who ran up the hills and for us lot at the back, thanks for all the support and camaraderie- much appreciated. Nice pint of Theakstones in the club house after!
