In short: Getting better every time
In full: A much better race than the inagural 2008 race. The 'out and back' route made for a better start, with greater support along the way. Organisation was much better this year, although you'd think the council would work with the public transport companies to sync the transportation... Otherwise, a much more attractive route than 2008, a fantastic selection of goodies at the end (mmm, cranberry sauce...) and a decent finish! Looking forward to 2010 already

In short: A great race
In full: A race I always look upon fondly. Incredible weather this year, with the freezing downpour stopping literally as soon as the runners made it out of the three counties showground. A pleasant course (although the gradual climb at mile 11 always catches me out) support is always warm, friendly and very encouraging, and both the chicken run and the 5k race are superb. Looking forward to next year already!

In short: There's worse things to do on a summer's evening
In full: Having undertaken and thoroughly enjoyed the 'big brother' event (the 10 mile stagger), I looked forward to the Stumble immensely. It's tough - some 'lovely' hills, and the quagmire which caught me out in February did exactly the same again come June, but a great race. Top marks to Stourbridge RC for a top-notch memento once again.

In short: All-in-all, pretty good
In full: A very pleasant day out in Tewkesbury. Organisation was very good (although in my experience, its unusual to have to collect time chips on the day), and the route itself was good - varying between Tewkesbury itself, to country lanes around the town, moving into Bredon & South Worcestershire. Support was a bit sparse, but pleasant enough, with good water stops along the way. Will be back for more next year!

In short: Thoroughly enjoyable
In full: Looking for an alternative to London, I stumbled across the Shakespeare Marathon/half marathon, and I'm very pleased to have done so! Great organisation, a good atmosphere within the urban sections of the race, handy water/sponge/lucosade stops and picturesque scenery. A bit pricey perhaps, but very good!

In short: Thoroughly enjoyable
In full: A very enjoyable jaunt through the Worcestershire countryside. Excellent organisation, and a good route (plenty of stiles, sheep, potholes etc to keep runners on their toes!). Lest we forget, a great selection of cakes were available at the village hall afterwards!

In short: Reasonable
In full: A fair enough race - I must confess I expected better things from a race with over 20 years vintage. Route was ok-ish; as many of the other reviews mention, it bypassed all of the sights associated with Bath. The delay was irksome, which made a late morning race even later, whilst the marshalls were a little 'prickly'. However, it was a fast, flat course, and plenty of encouragement from the massed crowds made for a good atmosphere - especially in the city centre. I'll be back for more next year!

In short: Glorious mud
In full: An excellent experience! Challenging, picturesque, slippy and with good support throughout. Great fun, although the announcements at the start of the race needed to be clearer.
