In short: Gosh, wasn't it hot In full: First time I'd run this race. Very warm, lovely course, cheery marshalls particulary Dr rob at 3.5. Enough water stations for the weather a very pleasant experience overall.
If only I'd done more training..... Date of review: June 4, 2006

In short: At least the rain kept us cool In full: problem was, it was coming at us horizontally which made visibility very difficult. Despite the weather the organisation was excellent, marshalls cheery, loads of support, nice course. Everything you could want really. I spoke to a couple of people who claimed this was their first race. Surely an experience to make them book another one very soon. Date of review: May 21, 2006

In short: Rain rain rain but the marshalls still cheered In full: A very pleasant warm up to a Spring Marathon. Course not too challenging, well organised, friendly marshalls and decent goody bag. I loved the lumo hat this year!

In short: I love running in the rain In full: Definitely better than the howling freezing wind last year! I really enjoyed this race this year. Fast course, feels more down hill than up although the last three kilometres can be challenging with tired legs.
Tee-shirt great this year. Joining instructions said no water station so the inclusion of one was a nice surprise. Lots of very friendly cheery soaking wet marshalls, the whole thing was a pleasant experience all round, will do this one again. Date of review: February 12, 2006

In short: Good organisation makes an otherwise ok race In full: Human Race are reknown for excellent organisation and this race is no different. The route is nothing special, although the trot along the Thames Path up to Hampton Court Palace is quite nice.
A nicely placed race to include in marathon training. Better than running on the paths on your own but will never be my favourite race. Date of review: October 10, 2005

In short: A great race let down a little in organisation this year In full: Not up to its usual standards. Same old moans though, not enough toilets for such a large number of runners meant lots of queues and nearly missing the start of the race. The first water station was a mess with loads of people running around but not getting much water to the table. Otherwise, lovely weather and a very pleasant course made for a happy day out Date of review: September 18, 2005
