In short: Good race good cause
In full: Cannot speak highly enough of this race excellent organisation. The people who stage this race should be proud of the work they do and the way they welcome all level of runners!
Tough course with a mixture of concrete surfaces and off road running but imagine having the wind at your back on the way back!!
Excellent value and the sort of race that makes you want to come back for more shame they cannot stage 2 a year

In short: Great Race
In full: This race was better organised that this years Liverpool Half and the staff at Runliverpool should look at this race as setting a benchmark. There were plenty of provisions and the organisers should pat themselves on the back of staging a first class event that restores some of tyhe faith of local runners after some poor events by Runliverpool. Bring on 2008 but lets go back to t-shirts

In short: Enjoyable
In full: Ran the Liverpool half in March and the company behind that need to come and view the Leeds half. Organisation was great plenty of water stations and loos on the course a challenging course that finished in the city centre and a t-shirt and a medal for the same price as Liverpool!!!
Course was hilly in the first half and maybe a little narrow in places during the second half but overall as I drove 60 miles to get there it was well worth the trip

In short: Sets the goals for others to aim for
In full: As usual the the atomsphere was fantastic and thank you to all those that came out and supported.2007 will be remebered for the weather as much as anything else. I set a personal worse thanks to the heat But this event is special earlier this year i ran the liverpool half and the organisers of that need to take lessons from FLM. Simply put FLM coped with the extra demands the weather caused with ease extra water was provided extra showers installed and despite all the conditions could throw FLM again reinforced its number 1 tag for me.

In short: Good race let down by poor organisation
In full: This is my home town half but yet again this race has been let down by the below average orgainsation. I ran just over two hours and to see runners at 9 miles picking bottles of water off the floor is an embarrassment that the organisers need to think about if serious consideration is being given to staging a marathon next year. To have 2 water stations is risky anyway but to have one run out of water before the vast the majority of runners have passed is stupid yes there was a water station at about 12 miles but the vast majority of people went without water from miles 4 to 12.
As for the transport I arrived at the Kings Dock at 08.30 to see a queue about 500 yards long so made other arrangements to get to the start where were the buses??
Also yet again no T shirt despite the application form stating there would be one this is becoming the trendfor Run Liverpool.

To be positive the spectators were as vocal and supportive as always and the route was a little more challenging than in previous years.

In short: Good Run let down by minor mistakes
In full: After a lot of thought I did this run not a big fan of Runliverpool who staged it as I think they repeatedly get minor things wrong. The course was reasonable no stranger to Sefton Park so aware of the state of the roads. But it had a very tight start area and the signage was poor for those going to the race and those running. The end was the usual mess for a runliverpool event with no direction and only a big queue of runners waiting to be issued t/shirts and drinks. The overall organisation needs improving but more importantly this event needs a city centre backdrop and the lack of that this year no doubt contributed to the reduced numbers taking part.
The lack of club runners meant this was a good run for first timers but dont know if that will be repeated next year.
