In short: great event for first timer
In full: Only entered this run because I was in the area on a long weekend 'break'. Fantastically well organised for the first time being held. Really not expecting the t - nice surprise. A great big thanx to the organisers but ESPECIALLY the marshaals who braved the elements (we do it for fun believe it or not). Quite a tough course and glad I packed my off roaders

In short: Chuffed!!!!
In full: Agree with most of the earlier comments (esp the one who said they can't stop smiling - me too!!).Sorry to down mark this on PB potential but did have 35lbs on my back!!!. So glad I did P comp and was sOOOOOO glad to get the first 2.5 miles gentle uphill crawl (more or less)out of the way.But that 'gully at the end, crikes.
And for me - what a buzz to have Para's applauding you and shouting 'good effort' as you approach the finish line.

Wanted to prove 'you can if you want it hard enough'. To get in under the 1.50 mark 4yrs after having a heart attack .....like i said, grinning like a cheshire cat. Oh and raised over £1300 for BLESMA - result all round

ps also pleased to see that some who ran P comp WITHOUT a pack were taking off the finalised results

YOU HAVE TO DO THIS

In short: hot hot hot
In full: Not a good day to be training with a 26lb backpack ( yes I was the one) but really impressed to see a chap with one even bigger! so to speak.Sorry to frighten the marshalls at 9.5 and thanx to the other concerned runners. 'Entertaining' for what was billed as an undulating course - couldn't believe the profile on my garmin. Great run though. will be back and hopefully just a tad cooler next time. Well done everyone

In short: Great day
In full: Can't think of anything bad to say about this race. The venue, organisation, marshalls, supporter's (in all but a very few places), course, plentiful water stop's (gratefully received!), were all excellent. Then I finished the course and got the kit/goody bag with all it included as well as sized tshirts for your money - I'm truely speechless! Got to be my favourite run in 3 years of racing. WELL DONE ALL CONCERNED

In short: Excellent as always but.......
In full: Opted for this run this year as did hanham horror last and my body just cant cope with two runs/races in two days.Haha Excellent event as ever by YTRRC with squeaky clean organisation. My only beef (and this is my first ever). A few of the ytrrc decided to enter this event and I think took it a little TOO seriously, with both myself and another of our club's runners nearly being jostled off the course - come on guys, this isn't the olympics. ENJOY!!!!!

In short: Good choice
In full: All my friends were trying to persuade me to do the bath half with them, but after looking at the reports on runners world I think i was the one who made the right choice. By the sounds of it this run was everything that bath wasn't... it started bang on time, excellent organisation and friendliness, great parking zones, great course, great scenery, nice medal, nice t-shirt, oh and although there was a diversion to get there on to day, the diversion signs (all the way from chepstow) were fantastic! We (4 of us)travelled a long way but all agreed it was one of our best events to date. Thanks to all concerned

In short: Nice setting but please more loos!
In full: I travelled quite a distance for this run and apart from (only) injuring my achilles and having to hobble in from 6k; was very pleased with the overall organisation and venue. Good fields for both 5k and 10k but the toilets facilities for both men and women were woefully inadequate (some being locked up 20 mins before start) Apart from this well done to all

In short: Great new venue
In full: Loved the new start venue at Ham Hill Country Park - the views were just breathtaking! Liked the fact that the safety concious head marshall saw fit to move the start by a few yards due to ice hazzard (even though my GPS still recorded 10.45 miles for the new course - thanx for that guys haha). Fantastic mix of frozen fields and paths to what can only be described as gloop! A really great (but hard) day out. A special mention to all the hardy marshalls who braved bitter conditions just for our enjoyment - especially the ones in the shady spots. Well done Crewkerne!!

In short: Well done again
In full: Second time of doing this event and even the rain managed to relent (well for the main part!)Fantastic sports bag (with goodies included) for all finishers amazing value for money. A real good course for beginners even including a 'testing' incline at half way. The barriers are I agree a bit of a pain but how on earth would you get over 400 runners across a dual carriageway!! Glad the course held up after the rain the previous night. A bit of a laugh a the starting line but no-one seemed to mind. Thank you marshalls for braving the elements. Great event again bournemouth joggers

In short: Wow!
In full: well, i've done the terminator(twice)the stickler (twice) over the hills, the monty and the horror.. but this was the one! The hardest thing I have EVER done (well in my moderate 3 years of running anyhow)!. Maybe it was the added 'moisture' from the evening before or the fact that I had to literally stop 3 times in the river/bog/quicksand to stop myself from hyperventilating myself to death :) - a big thanx to everyone there who encouraged me along.. spectators and runners alike. Anyone who has not yet taken the plunge...sorry about the pun! get this in your diary for next year
