In short: 1:57 for the race - 1:37 to get out of the car park In full: Nothing the organisers can do about the heat, but bottles would be better than cups. As for the car park, it was the impatience of the runners ignoring the guide-ropes and forming their own queues rather than joining the 'official' ones that caused the problems - 15 lines of cars through 1 gate is a lot slower than 3. Having said that, a few crash barriers rather then easily removable plastic tape may have prevented some of the more blatant queue jumping. Next year I'll cycle to the start. In short: Well organised, plenty of toilets (a rarity) and a nice course. One grumble and a bit beyond the organisers control - some real ankle-twisting road edges & you need to be very careful when keeping left for traffic. Date of review: February 20, 2005
