In short: Half-Marathon obviously the main event but good support at the end for the two lappers
In full: Glad it was a cool day as the water stations too few and far between with variable cu sizes. Did have previously and water was better and sports drinls were supplied as well. usual reasonable T-shirt and medal, well organised and marshalled with good support at start and end.Plenty of local interest and good coverage from the commentary box. Second lap however, very lonely and hills always seem worse second time around. Not sure I would rush back for the full, but would happily do the single lap as it is cheekily challenging. More drinks though, please.

In short: Beatiful island, warm welcome, great race, shame about the weather
In full: This is part of a weekend series. Those taking part in individual events walk away from a beatiful island having run a very scenic race which was well marshalled, appropriately supplied throughout with water stations, possibly having run a PB but sadly there is no tangible memento to remind the further flung runner of the weekend unless you compete in all the events! It is, however, a special race and one to which I would gladly return. I look forward to the second Guernsey Half on a different route, on father's day and hopefully, better weather to take in more distant views whilst enjoying the island experience.

In short: As poorly organised as ever, dodgy start and poor org at the end. Fill your own goody bag if you could find the bananas, chocs, drinks but change from T-sirt to medal was welcome.
In full: Its big, popular, always sells out early but does not face the customer/runner. I would say almost arrogant. Closeness to FLM ensures big demand. Course v.tight in places. Welcome the extra energy drinks station but too few water stations and v.badly organised. Overall catering for needs and vfm quite low. Great atmosphere though at start, finish and couple of miles close to town. Such a scenic town, yet you run out of it and round some of the least pleasant and most boring parts of the town/country!

In short: Bit on the exposed and cold side, drinks org could be better but PB potential
In full: Got off at the right start time this year! Good PB potential for those interested. Good selection of pacing groups. A tad cold. One v badly organised single side drinks station. A few congested bits and a bit more undulating than you would expect from a grand prix circuit. Special event, special day and great stage check for FLM in a unique setting.

In short: Glorious setting, good organisation, great atmosphere, well worth the effort and a cheerful challenge.
In full: Totally different to the (!"£$%)Fantastic North Run. More challenging, less PB potential, but equally welcoming, warm generous and well organised. Teasing start goes on teasing for around four miles, before some undulates and then a glorious run round the coast. I'll be back and might even try to beat this year's time.

In short: Literally, physically, metaphorically, breathtaking
In full: Very welcoming race, well marshalled, friendly, reasonably good organisation. One more marshall at the junction wher "someone" changed the direction arrow and allowed us some extra out and bacck yardage would have been good. No doubt they'll be discussing that for years to come. Undulating, hilly multi-terrain did not set my level of expectation for what we got. We flat footed road runners had an interesting time and thanked God it had been dry recently. What a selection of fields and countryside to run up, over and down, with scenes of breathtaking beauty and lung bursting hills to climb before you got the chance to appreciate the views! And don't forget all the stiles! Definitely not a PB race but a great way to spend a Sunday morning. Starting and finishing at the local rugby club, where other events were taking place ensured a good turn out for the finishers and the added bonus of hot BBQ food for sale and a bar to quench that recent thirst. Adequate facilities for the field size. Reasonable goody bag and T-shirt. Good VFM and I won't hold the organisers totally to blame for the moved marker although I'm not so sure about the fron runners.

In short: High potential, great crowd/entry, good care of runners, bit congested
In full: This course, if organised at the start a bit better, offers high PB potential. Some pen control as per FLM and pen ID'd nos would have helped. Did not start running my pace until 2 miles plus following almost 4.50 min delay in getting over the start and kept passing all the way to the end. Some great landmarks, fantastic crowd, plenty of water, energy drinks and yippee, bananas at the end as well as 2 different goodie bags (one from the organisers/sponsors and one from the Beeb) Great charity participation and crowd support kept going right past 4 hour point. Good humoured and plentiful marshalls and plenty of cadets helping out at various areas. Thanks and well done to all of them. Quite a few bottlenecks up to and including mile 12!!! Great day out though and will do again

In short: Poorly organised high potential lo VFM race
In full: Where do you start? Chips and registrations still going on after the official start time, race goes off and no mat to cross so it's gun to chip finish and it took ages to get going through a start line you struggled to see. Tight course, hot day and guess what, no water at the first advertised water mark, then we get it, the only one at 6k not 7 as detailed. No timer anywhere out on the route. Running down to the stadium the lane is so narrow that two abreast means you can't pass without going out of the cones and potentially into traffic/crowds. The stadium exit isn't marshalled so people are walking through the actual race lane as they leave, some dehydrated runners unknowingly. Wow, a certificate at the end. Applied on-line, paid the extra I seem to remember to use on-line back in June, don't recall being asked for PandP for the T-shirt, could be my fault, but met no other on-line entrant who got one, could be me. Very poor marshalling at the end but thankfully we all celebrated with some water. What a joke. This is quite a good course, scenic in places, but tight in many parts, still with high potential for a PB. great day out marred too many times and left feeling slightly cheated by the organisers despite running a reasonable race. No one could answer the queries on the chip, on the T-shirt and no-one seemed to know where to hand in the envelope and money for the results as requested on the back of the info sheet sent out. Hmmmmm!

In short: Worst Bath Half I've ever taken part in.
In full: Set PB here a few years ago but stressful day. !"££$$ organisation, no number sent out, queued for over an hour, start delayed, weather foul, bag organisation a contradiction in terms and the only uplifting things were in the crowds, who turned out in appalling conditions. Let's hear it for those drummers. Overpriced event, poor goody bag, appalling T-shirt and no medal, but proximity to FLM and home make it worth doing even as an expensive training run
