In short: Can't believe I almost got a PB with those hills!
In full: I ran this as my first half in 2007. First time back and it seems to have come on a lot! Appreciated the marquee with changing etc. Baggage came back very muddy though. The marshals were great and always good to have locals cheering you on. Loved the fact it was mostly traffic free. This time I knew to expect some monster hills and I made the most of the downhills! I really liked receiving a t-shirt at the end rather than a useless medal. My main gripe is with the lack of water stations. Only one in the first half (with no sign warning you it was coming). Thanks to all the volunteers though - it was freezing!

In short: Quite undulating but the 4 laps meant you knew what was coming! Great support
In full: I was quite nervous about this one as it's the furthest I've ever raced. I entered this as part of my prep for London. However I really enjoyed it! Thought the laps would be dull but at least I knew what was coming so found it mentally easier to handle the undulation. Marshals were fantastic! Glad they recognised my club stripe as it felt like I had lots of support.

In short: Most challenging race I've ever done but enjoyable - although over priced!
In full: I didn't find this a good value for money race at £19 with nothing after except a medal - no t-shirt or other goodies. I'd rather pay less and get nothing! The start was very cluttered and it was difficult to get to the starting line up from the grassy area. The residents/supporters were amazing - out all morning in the rain! Thank you to all of you for cheering us on. The hills were harder than I imagined but I did manage to run them all which I was proud of. The 3k long one was a killer and it was a shame about the weather as I'm sure the climb would have been worth it for the view but viability was too poor. I would def do it again though for the challenge.

In short: Well organised as usual and despite the squally weather, I got a PB!!
In full: Still buzzing from the fact I knocked a few minutes off my PB - waiting for the official time to check how much. Mainly thanks to my husband sacrificing his time to push me! And to top that, I got given a pair of flouro running gloves that I've been meaning to get for ages! As usual, it was a well organised race and I want to thank the marshals for bearing up under the weather. Def up for doing this again.

In short: Loved this run! Hills were managable and a downhill finish is always a bonus.
In full: First 9 mile run so obviously got a PB! Thought it was really well organised and good value for money. It wasn't as hilly as I had been expecting which was good but I hadn't been prepared for the long single-file running along a busy road. Took a bit of getting used to! My only gripe is that there didn't seem to be any warnings along the roads for cars letting them know about us runners. Hopefully will be back next year!

In short: I thought this was a well organised race, good value for money and the residents of Peterborough were a fantastic support! Great race for a half PB as it's fairly flat (took 6 mins off mine). Shame about the boring scenery though.

In short: Lovely views but bad starting!
In full: Decided to enter this for my birthday (yes odd way to celebrate, I know) and brought my husband along for the ride. Needless to say that's his first and last big race!! Have to say I do love the atmosphere of a big race but that didn't make up for the difficult start. Took us over half and hour to get to the start line and there were too many pinch points and walkers in the way. Saying that I managed to complete it in my fastest time for a 10k. Not really a race to get a PB in, really just one to enter for "fun".

In short: Aside from the appaling weather, this was a very enjoyable race. My first 10 mile but ran faster than I'd hoped. Fantastic atmosphere.

In short: For my first half marathon it was quite challenging due to the hills but I loved it! Goody bag was not worth it and a bit miffed they started the time with the gun instead of when I crossed the start line.

In short: Bit messy at start. Didn't hear any announcements or see any water on the second lap.
