In short: Not enough water stops considering the heat, but the pipers were great! In full: The heat made the race pretty hard work - but obviously there's nothing we can do about that! Just a pity that often the shaded part of the road was out of bounds for us runners. There were not enough water stops - luckily spectators were giving out water. When we did come across a water stop, the lids were taken off the bottles meaning that it was impossible to run with them. Also, more water was needed at the end - nearer the finish line and a greater volume - not cups of tea/coffee!
Overall, an enjoyable race, just a shame it was so hot! Date of review: September 2, 2004
