In short: Hilly, friendly and watercress/bananas for everyone
In full: Lovely local race with a challenging but very beautiful route.
Very efficient registration process for entry on the day and smiley, friendly marshalls all the way round.
Good medal, watercress + bananas for all finishers and excellent pre/post race massage from Lou Walker
Find it difficult to criticise anything about this race apart from may be a lack of clock at the finish line.
Definitely recommend this race (unless you're PH hunting!!)

In short: Amazing crowds, nasty wind in the last 5
In full: 2nd marathon, first at Brighton. Very well organised and slickly run with thought put into it for both runners and spectators. Only minor grumble was having to pick up the number the day before.
The course is pretty friendly with some bumps and rises in the first 10 but then pancake flat. Unfortunately the SE wind was directly into our face for the last 5 miles which wasn't ideal!
The atmosphere was unreal - especially through halfway and then the finish
The elite start was excellent and a very good idea.
Will definitely be back :)

In short: Windy, flat and disorganised
In full: Brutal winds on the way back up towards start/ finish. On a still day it is definitely a PB course. Start was run pretty smoothly but the finish less so. The 5k people were given no chils which seemed odd but the chips we were given for the 10k were most odd. Worn on your finger and then seemed to serve no purpose; there was no sensor oads that you ran over which would auto read your time. You had to push the finger thing into a reader and then a lady with a clipboard asked you your name, age etc. The entry fee is a bit steep considering disorganised finish and 'goody bag' which contained a bottle of Gatorade and some bits of paper!

In short: Well organised, nice to look at, could do with an earlier start
In full: Very smoothly run and a nice course. Unexpectadly sharp hill at 4k which was made difficult by the heat. I think the 10:30 start could do with being moved forward to 9 or 9:30 but that is my only minor complaint. Will he back next year for sure :)
