In short: Lady with Jelly Babies at top of the long hill saved my day
In full: Parking fee seemed a little steep and those who chose to arrive with 30 mins to go found the process of paying slow; both could do something to make it better! Second lap of marathon would be a little lonely if not for great locals and cheerful marshals support. Really enjoyed the day and took 8 minutes off a 10 year old PB

In short: all the up hills are in the second 5 miles!
In full: Excellent race - well organised, changing scenery and surfaces and very friendly. Slightly odd red gloves as finisher prize but you dont do this race for the goody bag!

In short: nothing flat or dry on the whole run
In full: Great race, friendly marshals standing in rain but looking happy, great other competitors and a course that challenges you to dare to come back and try to do better

In short: Ouch - they were not joking when they say the hills are 1 in 3
In full: Amazing location, well organised and very friendly. All along the route the locals could not have been more encouraging - only wish i had got my diet right in the week before so had not blown up at mile 12 - a very long last 14. A must do race if you like it tough and scenic

In short: The ups seem much longer than the downs
In full: No messing, no fancy edges , well organised race for people who like a challenge. friendly and supportive marshalls - jelly babies at the water stops a nice touch
Stunning area - well worth the trip
