In short: Stunning, brilliant
In full: Couldn't find any faults - the only problem was that it was too sunny/bright (!). Views were awesome, the whole return leg running towards Ben Nevis, amazing throughout.

In short: Massive contrast to London & Paris
In full: Tempted to take a break from big city runs - this was great, just turn up, pay and off you go. Mananged to finish just before the heavens opened so avoided getting too wet.

Thought the grassy hill at 25miles was a bit cruel but otherwise tons of fun.

In short: Great course, some bumps but comfy, not long exposed bits, weather just about perfect and a pb to boot.

In short: Good day out
In full: Agree with other postings about the start being a shambles but apart from that it was very well put together. Great facilities at the end - tho a bit short on gents toilets!

In short: Great day out, perfect conditions and a pb by almost 4 minutes
In full: Really well put together and very interesting course with docks, castle, parks, rivers, fishermen (!) and, of course, a brilliant place to finish. Loved seeing all the nuns running the half (even if most of them were blokes) and several super-heros.

Only critisism is the way both the marathon and half are started at the same time with no separation into predicted finish times - this meant it took almost 5 minutes to get over the start line and that almost the first 10 miles of the marathon were congested - far more even than London - caused some anxiety on the narrow points out and back to the barrage.

Overall, brilliant fun and can't wait to do it agian.

In short: Very good, some real speed merchants, conditions cool but blustery, and more ups and downs that expected. Fun though.
