In short: A tough, trail based, fantastically challenging school cross country type race!
In full: The first three miles is on fast, downhill single track on which you feel you're cheating gravity. The last [five+] miles teaches you that you were wrong... The rugby club is an ideal base with great marshalling and some lovely scenary to distract you from the endurance test! Save some for the final hill, that's my top tip.

In short: A fun multi terrain competitive local race
In full: Fairly flat, a third on road, two thirds off. Plenty of fairly competitive club runners. Lovely surrounds and well organised. Well worth doing.

In short: Great scenic, friendly race but victim of its own popularity
In full: Warwick town makes a very pretty start but squeezing out the park gates slowed everyone down. Lack of expected time markings and inexperienced racers made the first mile chaos. Traffic free but slightly ascending course was tough but enjoyable. Kenilworth castle made a fantastic finish with a great family atmostphere at the end. Never got sun burn before 10am before!!!

In short: A good marathon warm up race
In full: Overall an enjoyable marathon warm up. A little too much time spent on a-roads but thankfully not that busy. A little exposed in parts but well orgainised and my interest was maintained. Relay race helped keep the tempo up.

In short: A genuine undulating, part road - part track, course. Seemed to be continiously on some form of incline but no real killers. Well marshalled and fairly traffic free.

In short: A challenging off road route, with plenty of testing aspects such as plenty of stiles and serious undulation. Breathtaking view around mile 7 with a fast descent to the finish

In short: It was exceptionally hot and organisers failed to react to this quickly e.g. more water, medics to pick up the dehydrated causalties. On the other hand would you expect this in April?
