In short: The best marshalls, the best scenery, the best race!
In full: And the best hills! We were warned to keep something in the tank for the second half.... This was my first off-road race and I enjoyed it more than any of the road races I have done. Brilliant, honest fun for a Sunday morning!

In short: A very well organised, scenic race through country lanes with not a car in sight.
In full: I only want to add that I thought that it was a huge bonus to have a car park right next to the finish, and I think the marshalls did a good job marshalling the cars' exit at the end of the race. The 5-10 minute walk to the start of the race was not a problem (especially as I was there to run 10k!), and gave me a chance to warm up.

In short: You've got to do this race, whatever your level. Great fun and flat!
In full: The marshalls were fanctastic, and cheered us on by name at the end of each lap. Loved the steel band and got the most useful goody bag at the end. The best local race I have run. This race now makes one of my all time favourites.

In short: Superb organisation and great value for money.
In full: This was a challening course, which was made more difficult by the sun and heat. However, the race was memorable also for the energy gels, water bottles, jelly babies and sponges given out by the marshalls. It almost makes me want to run the full distance next year!

In short: Great race, with fantastic scenery and good support all the way round.
In full: Could have done with one more drinks station earlier in the race, but otherwise it was well organised and it warrants a bigger field next year. I'll definitely enter next year (if only to beat the hill!)
